Finding this little book is helping me grow closer. Still a long ways to go personally but the path is there.

He wants a relationship with us. Not just on Sunday or Wednesday night, but daily.

We have to know we are not alone. He is beside us always helping guide us to the plan he had for long before we were born.

And just like that the year is gone.

The final months of the year challenge our patience, but Scripture reminds us that defeating the urge to criticize others begins with looking inward. Matthew 7:5 commands us to first take the log out of our own eye before addressing the speck in someone else's. When we judge or speak harshly of others, we usurp a role that belongs solely to God, the ultimate Judge. To defeat this habit in the second half of the year, transform critical thoughts into prayers of intercession and words of grace. Let your focus shift from tracking the flaws of those around you to cultivating the fruits of the Spirit in your own walk, remembering that love covers a multitude of sins.
