🚨 THREE YEARS. MULTIPLE POLICE REPORTS. AND YESTERDAY, MY THREE YOUNG CHILDREN WERE THERE TO WITNESS IT.
Since opening Maddy’s Ice Cream and More in 2024, my family and I have dealt with repeated incidents involving people connected with Pop Sweetheart. I have never had a personal relationship with these people. I opened an ice cream business — that is where this began.
Yesterday, I was at my storage facility with my husband and our three young daughters when Jailyn Brooks, who is connected to Pop Sweetheart through both the family and the business, drove through the property.
The video shows the vehicle passing us, the driver making an obscene gesture toward us, and then coming through the property AGAIN.
As she came through the property the second time, she also appeared to yell something out of the window toward us. We could see her yelling, but we could not hear clearly enough to determine what was said, so I will not speculate about her words.
This was not simply someone traveling down a main road and happening to pass us twice. We were inside a storage property.
My CHILDREN were standing there.
And once again, the police had to be called.
Yesterday, officers had to come directly to the storage facility while my children were still there so that ANOTHER report could be made.
My kids had to stand there and watch police show up because of something that has continued for years.
This is exactly why I continue to document what happens.
Jailyn is the girlfriend of Nancy Tessier’s son, lives with the family, and has worked alongside Pop Sweetheart. When you are working with and representing a business in the community, your behavior matters — especially when incidents like this continue year after year.
And this is bigger than one incident.
Over the past three years, there have also been repeated online issues — fake profiles, messages being sent directly to people who support my business, negative comments, and accounts spreading the same claims about me.
Last year, a review was also left under the name “Alicia Monaville,” which I do not believe came from a genuine customer. There have been multiple accounts over the years using similar messaging and making similar claims. I document these incidents when they happen.
Police have been contacted multiple times throughout these three years. Reports have been taken. Yet the incidents have continued.
That is the part that is so frustrating.
How many reports are supposed to be made before repeated unwanted behavior is taken seriously?
Every year ice cream truck operators in our area are required to go through town approval processes, including character-related requirements. If someone representing an ice cream business is repeatedly involved in documented confrontations with another business owner, I believe town officials should at minimum be willing to review what has been happening.
I am not asking anyone watching this to contact, message, threaten, harass, or retaliate against ANYONE mentioned in this video. Please do not.
I am posting this because staying quiet has not made it stop.
I don’t live in town anymore. I don’t seek these people out. I don’t have a personal relationship with them. I want to operate my business, take care of my family, and move forward with my life.
Yesterday I was simply at my storage unit with my husband and my three little girls.
And somehow, three years later, we are still dealing with this.
Enough.
I want this documented. I want the appropriate people to take it seriously. And most importantly, I want my family to be left alone.
