September can be somewhat challenging for locals here in Gardiner. Over four months of heavy tourism (which we are grateful for) that changes our little town and we have to get accustomed to traffic, long and demanding work hours, or find it challenging to go out to eat or travel in the Park because of the influx of people.

So today is a special day - one that brings it all back to community. One of the biggest reasons most choose to call Gardiner home. We have 2 very important non profit events today doing good things for a lot of people and our community in general.

This morning we have the Big Bear Stampede raising money and awareness to fight depression. Something that affects everyone either personally or through a friend, family member or neighbor. Please consider supporting this cause by donating, volunteering or participating!

Then this afternoon it’s time to have fun at an old school block party, Buffalo Days Gardiner MT which also raises awareness and funds but this is for our non profit and volunteer driven fire/EMS Gateway Hose Co! Starts at 3pm on Main St.

Wonderland will be open all day but doing things a little different. We won’t close from 3:30-4:30pm and will run our lunch menu til close while adding a few “Buffalo” themed specials.

Wonderland loves giving back to the community that has allowed us to build a life in this beautiful town. So thank you for supporting us and allowing us to help make a difference!

Housing Available • Gardiner, MT

Wonderland Café & Lodge is looking for an exceptionally reliable, detail-oriented person to help care for and coordinate our six-room boutique lodge.

We are locally owned and operated, established in 2018 and passionate about helping guests experience Yellowstone. Many of our guests return year after year—and we know quite a few by name.

This is a hands-on position with housekeeping at its core, but it offers the opportunity to do much more: coordinate room readiness, communicate with guests, manage linens and supplies, offer local recommendations and help improve the entire guest experience.

The ideal candidate is:
• Meticulous, trustworthy and reliable
• Professional and warm with guests
• Self-directed and willing to take initiative
• Organized and physically able to navigate three flights of stairs
• A strong communicator and creative problem-solver

Writing, marketing, photography or design skills are a plus.
This position reports directly to the owner and works closely with our established lodge and café team.

Housing is available for the right candidate. Immediate seasonal applicants are welcome, although we would love to find someone interested in a stable, year-round role with room to grow.

🎨 CALL FOR ARTISTS: Winter in Yellowstone ❄️

I’m excited to announce a new call for art at Wonderland Cafe & Lodge in Gardiner!

We’re looking for local artists to submit work for our upcoming Winter in Yellowstone exhibition. All mediums are welcome, and we’d love to see your interpretation of Yellowstone in winter. Wildlife, landscapes, the quiet of the season, or anything else that captures that winter feeling.

We have had a couple of last minute cancellations in our lodge this week - if anyone is looking for a last minute trip and need a place to stay let me know! One night, Saturday the 15th is the night of our annual Gardiner Brewfest benefitting Yellowstone Forever. Would be a fun time!

All of our suites are private, come with wood floors, air conditioning, a full kitchen, cable tv, free wifi, eco-friendly and luxurious amenities and have a unique Yellowstone theme complete with photos from local artists.
