Over the last two days, our iTokos team delivered 100+ bowls and donated 120+ family packs of FREE food to families in our community.

A HUGE thank you to our incredible employees who made this possible while working with limited staff and still taking care of our regular customers. Please show our team some love—they deserve it! 🙏❤️

We also want to recognize every local business that came together Wednesday and made the difficult decision to close. Seeing so many businesses stand together reminded us how powerful unity can be.

We may have different beliefs and opinions, and we respect those differences. We don’t have to agree on everything to care for one another when our community needs us.

Today, Friday, Cabana Mexican Grill and Itokos Grill are coming together to feed our community. ❤️

Free food will be available for people affected by the current situation from 3–6 PM at both locations, while supplies last.

A friend or family member may pick up for you.

❤️ TODAY, WE’RE FEEDING OUR COMMUNITY.

Due to the recent ICE activity in our area, we know there are families in our community who are afraid to leave their homes or be out driving right now.

We have also heard from and about families who do not have a way to safely go out and get food right now. Those are the families we especially want to reach today.

Our team will be donating AND delivering food throughout the day to families who truly need that help. Please call or text 620-295-0550. We want to make sure you and your children have something to eat.

We’re simply asking that our delivery assistance be reserved for those who don’t have another option, so we can reach as many families in need as possible. ❤️

Our dining room will also remain closed today. We will be operating with a limited staff and accepting online and takeout orders only.

This community has supported our small family-owned business from the very beginning. Today, it’s our turn to give back and take care of the people who have taken care of us.

Si están permaneciendo en casa, no tienen manera de conseguir comida y no tienen a alguien que pueda ir por ustedes, por favor mándennos un mensaje privado. 📢 CABANA MEXICAN GRILL & iTOKOS GRILL WILL NOT OPEN TOMORROW

ICE is in our community, and fear is spreading through the families who work hard every day to keep businesses like ours running.

We refuse to pretend it is business as usual. We refuse to pressure employees into risking separation from their families just so we can sell another plate of food.

Cabana Mexican Grill and iTokos Grill will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, September 23.

Our employees helped build our businesses. They are not disposable labor—they are human beings, parents, spouses, neighbors, and family. If standing with them costs us a day of business, we will gladly pay that price.

We understand that not everyone will agree with or support our decision. As local businesses, we have always tried to remain neutral and respect that people in our community have different beliefs and opinions. We respect those differences. But there are also moments when we believe it is important to stand for what we believe in—and this is one of those moments.

We are also asking other local businesses to stand with their employees. If your employees are afraid to come to work tomorrow, stand behind them. If you have the ability to close your doors for the day, we invite you to join us.

One business closing makes a statement. A community standing together sends a message.

Our businesses would not exist without the hardworking people who show up for us every day. Tomorrow, we show up for them.

We’re excited to finally share that iTokos Grill is MOVING to a bigger, more centrally located home in Garden City! 🍣🔥

This move means so much more to us than just a new building.

iTokos started as a small family-owned food truck with a dream. Through hard work and the incredible support of our community & employees, that little food truck became a restaurant — and now we’re taking another big step forward.

To everyone who has supported us along the way — whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or recently discovered iTokos — thank you. Every order, referral, review, share, and visit has helped us get here.

And to our family and amazing iTokos team, thank you for the countless hours and hard work behind the scenes.

We’re incredibly grateful for how far we’ve come and even more excited for what’s ahead.

As we continue growing our sushi menu, Sysco sent one of their chefs to work directly with our team—sharing recipes and providing valuable training on proper food preparation, handling, storage, quality, and safety. 👨‍🍳🍣

We’re also grateful to our account manager, Omar, and his leadership team for coming out to support our staff and invest in the continued growth of iTokos.

Recently, we took some of our amazing managers & employees to Denver for a special team experience. ❤️

We visited a sushi-focused restaurant to explore new flavors and gain inspiration for exciting future additions to the iTokos menu. 🍣🔥 Growth comes from learning, experiencing new things, and always pushing ourselves to become better.

We also spent time at the aquarium, making memories and enjoying time together as a team. 🐠🦈

At iTokos, our people are everything. We’re grateful for their hard work and proud to invest in our team, create new experiences, and grow together. ❤️
