Hey everyone, we have an important update regarding the Westland B**r Fest. 🛑

We’ve made the tough decision to cancel our appearance. Moving forward, Chubz Smokehouse and Grill will no longer be working with Fun Fest Events because our verbal and written agreements weren't kept. To make matters worse, they even decided to keep our deposit.

Just to clear the air, this has absolutely nothing to do with the City of Westland. This is entirely out of their control. We love doing business in Westland and we definitely plan to keep coming back!

Look, we fully understand if we aren't the right truck for certain events. We always tell hosts straight up that we aren't the right fit for everyone. Our costs for high-quality product, equipment, and labor are higher than some, and we communicate that upfront every single time.

But we just can't keep taking financial hits because of misleading info. We have to make a stand because it continues to hurt us financially. We have all the texts and emails to back everything up if we need to.

When we book an event, we agree on setup details so we can actually run our business properly. We pride ourselves on having a huge menu, fast service, and never running out of food. But after taking heavy losses at past events like Harley Fest—where they kept it from us that other vendors would be giving away free food, and brought in overcrowded truck setups for the amount of guests there—we're done. After 4 years of dealing with this host, it's time to walk away.

We are so sorry to miss you guys at this one, but we can't wait to feed you at our next stops! Thank you all so much for always supporting us!
