We are calling on Union Pacific Railroad to route the Big Boy 4014 through our historic tunnel as it comes through Gallitzin.

Recently, as we learned the route, we realized the locomotive will be on the tracks near Portage Street.

We can’t let this historic occasion happen without trying to get that amazing shot of the train coming through the tunnel. We want folks to be near the museum and The Tunnel Inn and observe this excursion!

Let’s see what we can do to make this happen! We’ve heard lots of rumored reasons why it isn’t coming through, and by no means do we want to interfere with safety.. but it’s worth an ask!
