Introducing Executive Chef Jonathan Newman, who brings international training and more than two decades of culinary experience to Edge by Goldmoor Inn. A Davenport, Iowa, native, Newman studied at the Tokyo Culinary and Confectionery Arts Academy in Japan and the Congusto School of Cooking and Pastry in Milan, Italy.
After opening his first restaurant at age 18, Newman went on to develop restaurant concepts in Chicago, New York, California and Florida. His career has included experience at Chicago’s acclaimed Alinea, a corporate chef role with Levy Restaurants and the opening of Tattersall’s expansive restaurant and distillery in River Falls, Wisconsin. He has also designed multimillion-dollar kitchens and consulted for nationally recognized restaurant brands.
At Edge, Newman draws on classical technique, global influences and his Midwestern roots to create thoughtful, distinctive dining experiences.
