We had a great time selling our food at High Springs Brewing Company. Cliff Dorsey with Adam Corbin- such an amazing show! We had so many wild things happen on this event… first the food truck door latch was left open, had to pull over. Latch it and keep rolling!
Then it was a huge batch of rain right when we had to buy our ice! We need the rain 100% but the timing was just funny. ⏰🤣!
Okay, so we finally pull up at the High Springs Brewery, a little damp, expecting to be able to plug in for the event… Taino Roots food truck (please follow them on IG) had arrived before us and plugged in. Oops one plug for two trucks! So we all talked and Ivan Perez, great guy, says he can run his noisy generator and give us the plug. We have a noisy generator too, but for some reason our steam table doesn’t heat without plugging in currently! 😵💫 We we were so appreciative of his generosity, since he did arrive first. You know most food truck friends we meet are just really good people. We all have the same goals. We all love sharing our food with each other. 🥰 It’s really good stuff. His food was really good, you have to try it!
Well, then we are ready to start serving cheesesteaks and smash burgers and [someone] had called the Florida Health Department (anonymously) on us, for the *second time*, about doing special events from our “unlicensed” food truck. We love the people we have met who work for the Florida Health Department, but what a waste of their time and energy! They don’t normally work weekends or after 5pm! So at 5:30pm they we sent out to investigate the call. It’s their job. They were working overtime on a Saturday, because of this call!
So this is actually a fun teaching moment for those unaware… if a Food Truck sells food from a rando place like a gas station, a place like Lowe’s parking lot where rando people walk up and purchase… that requires a special Food truck license to sell to rando people. If you own and operate a restaurant, like we do, that does not require you to have a special license for special events. ⭐️
🍻“The more you know”🌈⭐️ 🤨🙄😘
So calling the Florida Health Department on us for an *illegitimate* reason just wastes their time and your tax payer money. This is the *second* time we have had this *same* *specific* report in the last *2 months*, so we realize it’s a ~*HATER*~… maybe a competitor, perhaps one who doesn’t fully understand the laws??? Hopefully they follow us and read this post. 👀❤️
Anonymously, but who?! Perhaps someone doing a similar menu? 😝 Maybe one opening soon? 😝 Maybe just just jealous person with a vendetta? Perhaps a disgruntled ex employee? Who really knows?
We did document a complaint about the harassment, for the repetitive false allegations that waste tax payer money. 🤨
We follow the law and health department regulations, because we love you all. We use the best quality meats and we fight to give you the best veggies even in this crazy supply market, because we love you like family. Green Peppers and tomatoes are triple the price right now! 🥰
We don’t worry about these silly setbacks because we have REAL HARDCORE FANS THAT LOVE US!!! WE FEEL THAT SO MUCH. THE HATERS JUST FALL FLAT. Maybe they will learn one day that a little love and caring goes a long way and you certainly wanna love your friends and neighbors! You never know when you could use the help! Thanks again, TAINO ROOTS, for your help tonight. We are in this together. 🥰👀 Great neighbor! Thanks Prohibition Pizza for the pizza-cheesesteak trades we always do! So good! Great neighbor! We love High Springs.
Cliff Dorsey, Adam Corbin, High Springs Brewery, Prohibition Pizza & Taino Roots food truck. We love you and all the cool friends we met tonight! Great times! Cheers to more! 🍻🥂❤️❤️❤️🥳
We will be at High Springs Brewery next Saturday, June 6, 9am- sellout… for a charity event car show, more posts about that soon.
We spoke to the Florida Health department about this event today. 😁 This was rescheduled due to the wonderful rain we got last month. ☔️💧🌧️⛈️
Our fans, beware of the posted speed limits in High Springs and we will see you June 6th for lunch!
