This is a long one, but stick with me and read to the end and please share!
So, most of you know that the real estate that I own that Sweet Jayne's operates in is for sale. I do not have the business of Sweet Jayne's for sale because I am not closing and will be continuing to operate Sweet Jayne's. It's no secret that I'm focused on downsizing my life so that I can prepare for the next season of my life which is spending time with my adults kids and their people and hopefully being blessed with grandkids in the future. There's no way to be able to be the Honey (my future grandma name ❤️) working the hours that I do. I am too much of a hands on owner to turn it over to someone else to run. I have great people, but I have to be there. Additionally, most of you know that I moved to Montague County, so my drive time and distance from my business has increased.
Many of you have heard that I'm moving Sweet Jayne's to Saint Jo, Texas, and that is TRUE! It's so close to home for me and I'm super excited to have found the sweetest little cozy space that will allow me to work at a much slower pace and less days and getting back to having more contact with my customers at the counter doing my favorite job as barista! I'm so excited about it and have so many great plans for the new version of Sweet Jayne's. I'm also very excited to bring coffee and eats to a small town that doesn't have what I will be offering. I can't wait to be serving breakfast, coffee, baked goods, and lunch there!
With all that said, the people of Gainesville and surrounding communities have been so good to Sweet Jayne's over the past 8 years. I do not for a minute regret investing every dime that I have (or didn't have) to build the beautiful building that I did in my home town. It's so special to me that my space has been chosen for the past 4 years as a place for meeting old friends, lunch with your Bible study group, coffee dates, working, and even just chill time. It's such a reward to see you all enjoy this space and it makes me proud that I had the idea and went for it. Sometimes I can't believe that I actually did that.
But here's the thing. Gainesville needs a coffee shop like this. Yes, to be honest, we've lost business to the coffee chains. But for customers that value small business, quality coffee prepared by baristas that actually know and love Great Coffee, and appreciate home made food....we are chosen over the chain places that don't offer what we do. We APPRECIATE you guys for keeping us so busy! Even though I'm not selling the business Sweet Jayne's (or the recipes in the bakery) I would LOVE someone to buy the building and start their own coffee shop! If you are passionate about coffee and want to continue to offer the community a great place like Sweet Jayne's, talk to me! For the right buyer, I will act as a consultant for a time and help you get started! I'll share vendor information like my amazing roaster, food supply companies, setup with recommendations on equipment, etc. I am willing to help you get straight to operating a coffee shop with immediate customers (they will still come) and will support your start in business through sharing on social media without a consultant fee. Just buy the building and I will help you get going. My years of experience and knowledge have taken lots of time and money to develop. I would just love to see someone else love this building like I do and also to have a great place to get coffee when I'm in town! If this is something you or someone you know would be interested in, contact me!
Please share with anyone you know that might have a passion or dream to own a coffee shop!
