Heartbroken and at a loss for words! We thought it had to be fake news at first! Dolly had an impact and in influence in the world and in the world of music that was unlike anybody! She will be greatly missed but will continue to live on!

We are heartbroken at CCM Magazine.
Dolly Parton ’s impact on Christian and gospel music is immeasurable. From the gospel songs of her East Tennessee childhood to Golden Streets of Glory and Precious Memories, to introducing a new generation to her faith through songs like “There Was Jesus” with Zach Williams, Dolly never stopped singing about what she believed in.
She brought God with her everywhere she went, often carrying it far beyond the traditional Christian music audience.
Today, Tennessee mourns. Country music mourns. Christian music mourns. And the world mourns with us.
But we find comfort in the faith Dolly so openly shared and the knowledge that she is now in the arms of Jesus.
Thank you for the music, the faith, the joy and a lifetime of extraordinary generosity.
There will never be another Dolly Parton. ❤️
