Tony found out Ohio State is playing at the Hawkeyes’ place today.

He keeps calling it “the hawks nest.”

As Head of Egg Security, he is not taking this well. Not. At. All…

Apparently he’s heading there to “assess the threat,” because he’s spent weeks protecting our eggers from hawks and now Ohio State is voluntarily walking into their territory.

I told him Hawkeyes aren’t actual hawks.

He called that “hawk propaganda” and said I can’t be trusted?!

So… that’s where we’re at.

We have a fox problem‼️

Todd the Fox has been harassing the girls in our egg department, and Tony has officially had enough!

Those girls lay the fresh eggs used to make our cookies, so any disruption to egg operations is a direct threat to cookie production.

Naturally, Tony has promoted himself to Head of Security and gone deep undercover to capture Todd before things get out of hand.

He’s infiltrated the flock.

He’s gained their trust.

Todd has no idea what’s coming.

The other night, I couldn’t sleep… So I did what any normal 41 year old would do.

I started reading about how hundreds of millions of years ago, trees would die and just kinda… lay there.

The fungi and microbes that eventually got really good at breaking down that stuff hadn’t evolved yet, so all those dead things just… piled up in these swampy environments instead of decomposing.

Then they got buried in the water and swamps.

Cut to roughly 360 million years later, and those trees became the coal we have today!

I’m glad it only takes a morning to make chocolate chip cookies.

COULD YOU IMAGINE waiting that long for a cookie?!

Crazy.

Anyway…. That’s a peek into my brain.

Also, FYI, I don’t technically have a hearing problem, but sometimes when there’s a lot of noises occurring at the same time, I’ll hear ‘em as one big jumble.

Again it’s not that I can’t hear, uh because that’s false.

I can. I just can’t distinguish between everything I’m hearing.

Our knot dough takes 3+ days to make!

After mixing, it takes a loooooooong nap in our walk-in to slowly proof and develop flavor.

Then, on the day they’re headed to the stage, they get cut out, weighed, tied, final proofed and baked. 🫩

Lots of time. Lots of flavor. Easy to digest.🕺💃
