We love our burgers (the is our Farmer Burger) and we especially think you’ll love our homemade broccoli salad. Crunchy broccoli mixed with sunflower seeds, raisins, red onion, bacon crumbles and tossed with a tangy dressing. Add it as a side or take home a pint or quart. We are open our regular hours all this week/weekend, 11a-8p. Yay!

What’s new? We are going bananas and nutty over this weeks specialty soft serve flavors - banana and coconut. Try the banana one dipped in our chocolate dip cone topping or get a cone or cup with banana and chocolate ice cream. Coconut and banana ice cream are also great together.

Soda bar drink of the week is North Dakota Paradise. Sprite soda, pineapple, coconut and mango syrup with a splash of half and half. Really refreshing!

We’ve decided to keep the parmesan ravioli bites, jalapeno firecrackers, and piggy-scicles on the menu for the remainder of the year.

If you are gearing up for Labor Day next weekend, please be sure to stop by and ask about our beef selections. An inventory and price list will be posted soon.

Lastly, if you’d like to support our school’s music department, they are once again selling homemade frozen ground beef & cheese burritos. Five big burritos come in a bag for $27. We have a purchase sheet at our front counter. Burritos can either be delivered to your door or picked up at The Freez.

We have an update to our weekend schedule. Tomorrow (Saturday, 8/22) we will be open from 4p-8p. The grills and fryers will be ready for food orders at 4:30. Sunday, 8/23, we will be closed.

The Gackle Cubs have you covered on Sunday for lunch. They will be serving up a delicious chicken
dinner in the Gackle Park.

After this weekend, we should be back to our normal schedule. We appreciate your understanding! Our family took in a quick trip to the Iowa State Fair last week. I worked at the Fair for a number of years before moving to North Dakota, so it’s always fun to take the kids to my old stomping grounds.

This weekend we are off to meet family in Medora.

Weekly update!

Mushroom & Swiss Burger this weekend only! We’ll have it back again later in the fall but a special customer requested it so we’ll serve them the next three days.

Specialty soft serve this weekend is sun-ripened peach.

Pasta salad! We made another batch! We’ll have it until it’s gone.

Soda bar drink of the week - “Breezes Over Hehn-Schaffer Lake.” See the photo for what’s in this yummy flavor concoction.

Our aged steaks are here. Thirty days aged before they are cut and packed two per pack. Ribeyes, New York strips , tenderloins, Denver steaks, sliced sirloin (perfect for stir-fry or fajitas), flank, and flat irons! The butcher sent us a photos as they were cutting. The marbling makes these steaks sensational!

Remember we also sell ground beef!

Here’s our August schedule. Please mark your calendars that we will be closed on Sunday, August 16 and Sunday, August 23. Our family is going on a couple small getaways before summer is over (even typing this phrase makes me want to cry). If you are coming from a far, it never hurts to give us a call to make sure we are open our regular hours. Life happens and we appreciate your understanding. 701-485-3220

We occasionally get the question of we serve noodle salad. Not typically, but this weekend we are featuring my Aunt Debby’s pasta salad recipe. Penne noodles, oil and vinegar dressing with some spices, cucumbers and a few red onion slices. One of our family favorites! Grab a side, pint or quart for your meal.

It’s already Friday! Today is your last day to grab some strawberry butter and huckleberry ice cream. The new flavors will be announced soon.

Peachy North Dakota Sunrise is our soda bar drink of the week. Peach soda with mango and grenadine syrups. A splash of half and half tops it off.

Lastly, we are very excited to announce that we will be offering our very own beef to our customers. Right now we have ground beef to offer. Beef comes in one pound tubes and are $6/pound. This has been in the works for a year now and we feel as if we have the supply chain ready! Other beef cuts will be available soon. If you have more interest in purchasing a 1/4, 1/2, or whole beef to stock your freezer for the winter, please stop by and visit with me.

One of my employees asked what I should tell customers if they ask about our beef. Good question and easy answer! Beef that’s born, raised and finished in Logan county. This beef has only had one brand and it’s ours - Rocking N Ranch! We will only put meat in your freezer what we would we put in our family’s freezer.
