Sometimes the problem isn’t the cake. 👀

You can have an amazing product and it still be hard to sell.

Because people eat with their eyes first.

A plain box says “cake slice”.

A cute sticker, a coordinated wrap, and a little extra effort says:

✨ this is worth paying for.

That’s why I love packaging stickers so much.

This is why I love selling cake slices in my home bakery business. I sell my cake slices for $12 at the farmers market, but make sure you know your OWN numbers and how much you should sell them for.

As a shortcut, I recommend selling for $8-12.

If I were starting a home bakery, I would definitely add cookie flights to my menu.

Flights always sell out for me and I mean, who doesn’t love the option to be able to taste multiple flavors in one go??

Of course you should always run your numbers to see what price makes sense for YOUR bakery (I have a calculator that makes this EASY in my bio 😉)

But as a shortcut, I recommend selling your cookie flights for $8-15 depending on your cookie size, flavors, etc.

My cookies in this video are less than an ounce each in 4 flavors:

🍪 Chocolate Chip
🍪 Banana Pudding
🍪 Cookies and Cream
🍪 Imaginary Unicorn

If you make and sell just 12 these cookie boxes, you just made $72-$180 in your first bakery sale! 👏🏽

This is the easiest way to turn a simple box into $20 worth of delicious cupcakes in your home bakery.

1 box + 4 different flavored cupcakes = $20 of happiness in each bite. Great for people who want to sample a little of everything like me!

Bake a dozen cupcakes in 4 flavors and sell them as cupcake flights. That’s $240 in a weekend without over complicating your menu or f you sell them all!

This is just a general pricing idea, so remember to always run your own numbers to see what makes sense for YOUR business.

Hey bakers! This is what sold out first at my event. I think it’s always good and important to look at what’s moving off the table and at what speed to determine future event planning!

Meaning, if a product is selling out consistently and fast, that’s a signal to consider increasing the quantity of that product next time. If a product consistently sits and doesn’t sell out, you might want to bring less of it.

Hope this gives you a little insight into how I make decisions for my bakery!
