Texana Cafe After many months of planning, the Texana Cafe will be opening very soon!

The Texana Cafe is a restaurant functioning as a training center created by Texana with the goal to make and serve exceptional food while supporting meaningful employment for neurodiverse individuals. The first intern has been hired, the menus are being finalized, the first food order has been placed and we will soon 'go live' with the website!!

We are so proud to see our intern reach a level of employment that has taken him to an award-winning Houston area restaurantā€”where he gets to match his award-winning personality with the growth, skills, and confidence he developed at Texana Cafe! ā¤ļø

Watching our interns turn their hard work into meaningful employment is exactly why we do what we do. Congratulations on this incredible achievementā€”we couldnā€™t be prouder! šŸŽ‰

We couldnā€™t be more proud of our intern, Jalon who recently graduated from Texana Cafe and has taken the next step toward his goals by securing a part-time job at a local fast food restaurant! šŸ‘šŸŽŠ

He has always been known for the pep in his step, friendly personality, and positive energy. During his time at Texana Cafe, he learned how to channel that positive energy into focused, purposeful workā€”and weā€™ve loved watching him grow along the way. He learned how to share his interests and developed meaningful friendships with his coworkers.

Congratulations on this exciting accomplishment! We are so proud of you and canā€™t wait to see all that you accomplish next! šŸŒŸ

This is what meaningful employment looks like!

We are grateful to GG for spreading the word about Texana Cafeā€™s mission, for bringing new friends and connections to us regularly, and for dining with us weekly with her friends to support meaningful employment. Thank you, GG! Letā€™s keep celebrating all month long! šŸŽŠ
