The Frostburg Freeze has been the areas best place for a burger and shake since 1954. Our wide variety of ice cream and sandwich selections include old fashioned favorites such as Boston Shakes and Big T's, as well as new menu additions such as flavor burst and cheesesteak subs! Recently, we added Flavor Burst to our ice cream menu, which adds a stripe of flavor twisted into your ice cream, and with over 10 flavors to choose from, you'll be sure to find a favorite! Our ice cream is naturally low in fat, and we offer sugar free selections as well. Operating as a seasonal business, the Freeze has employed over 250 members of Frostburg and surrounding areas. We pride ourselves on community involvement, and are excited to see faithful customers return year to year. Each season brings new ideas for cruise-ins and theme nights, but most importantly, we are the only place where you can grab the best "Big T" and hot fudge sundae in town! Stop in to see us April through September and discover your favorite Freeze treat!

From now through the end of our 2026 season, we will donate 100% of the proceeds from every waffle cone sold to Carson and his family.

According to Carson’s family, his favorite Freeze order is simple: a twist in a waffle cone with sprinkles.

So whether you order it Carson’s way or fill your waffle cone with your own favorite, every one sold will help support Carson and his family.

Frostburg is a small community, and this community has always been at the heart of our business. You are the families who send your kids to work with us each season, the customers who keep our little seasonal business going, and the people whose support and kindness bring so much joy to what we do.
