If you've been following along, you know this kitchen has been a labor of love! 😅 What we thought would be a quick remodel turned into months of planning, scheduling, permits, inspections, installations, and more than a few unexpected hurdles!

Some days feel like we are taking two steps forward and one step back, but every challenge has brought us one step closer to opening the doors to something we're so proud of!

Today, we're at Step 13: Grill & fryer installation.

The day we have ALL been waiting for. Hallelujah! 🎇

This was our biggest hurdle to jump. Now we finish the steps to open the kitchen!

•Finish install- including Fire Marshall approval 🔥
•Health Inspector approval
•Order Food with Craig Thompson the 🐐 GOAT 👨‍🍳

No more updates from here. We will be keeping everything quiet until our GRAND OPENING 💥 announcement! 🤭🫣🤫

Steps after this:
Finish install of kitchen equipment (won't take too long!)
Ordering of FOOD!
Health Inspector to give the GO on restaurant license! (We will notify her to be on call so that doesn't take forever!🤞🤞🤞)

PSA: Please refrain from coming in to the bar and/or commenting your frustrations about our kitchen situation on our posts. No one is as frustrated as we are about this long wait. This was not our plan and it is effecting us financially and emotionally a great deal! This is not a business issue- this is a historical building issue!

We are literally at the mercy of the gas company and we call DAILY to get more information and also have asked community members to make calls. Trust us! If there was more we could do, we would! But coming in and getting upset at us and commenting on our posts does nothing positive for anyone.

We have been so blessed to serve everyone drinks and coffee in the meantime and we greatly appreciate everyone coming in and continuing to support us while we wait! It helps our family more than you realize! 🙏

The latest update: BH was supposed to have come in within 14 days of the work order being written up- which was over 14 days ago. We finally got someone to call us back today and she informed us a crew has been assigned to our project, but could not get in touch with the crew to give us an ETA as they were out on another job.

We are doing this for YOU ALL! We ask for respect and patience and understanding in return.
