I've missed you and can't wait to cook you some delicious meals this week!

Sorry about the lack of menu last week. I was just so worn out after a busy work week and all that Fourth of July celebrating! I hope you all also had a wonderful holiday. For us it was all about being submerged in water...be in the river, creek or a friend's pool. The kids were sun kissed and full of laughter. We floated down the river and even got to see a bald eagle, a big osprey and a blue heron! I cooked up lots of pies and made plenty of deviled eggs and hot dogs! I hope you had a weekend full of those kinds of simple pleasures.

I can't wait to get back into it in the kitchen this week. I've got a great menu filled with high summer deliciousness. Let's start with a classic French summer treat (and a nod to this weekend's Bastille Day in Frenchtown. Vichyssoise Soup is an absolutely dreamy, smooth and creamy chilled potato leek soup. The texture is heaven and the flavor is pure pleasure. So luscious with only a touch of cream, don't want to miss out on this seasonal treat. I often find myself eating it straight out of the container while standing in front of the fridge. The way it slides off the spoon and down my throat is culinary bliss. Who is already picking plump zucchinis out of their garden? Me! And this is all the inspiration I need to fry up tasty batches of Sweet Corn and Zucchini Fritters. Crispy edged and packed with all that vegetal delight, these fritters are kissed with a little parmesan, garlic and lemon to balance the flavor into pure yum. Served with a side of creamy, tangy tzatziki sauce for dipping you will be happy to the last bite. Get while the gettin' is good! Salad season is upon us and there is nothing more delicious than taking all those gorgeous melons and nectarines from the market and treating them as simply as possible. Enter this week's Melon Salad with Nectarines, Tomato and Basil! A luscious summer salad filled with sweet and hydrating melons, sweet local nectarines, juicy cherry tomatoes and finished with fresh basil, sweet onion, shaved parmesan, a dash of crushed red pepper and a good squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Summer perfection!

Quiche is back and better than ever! Zucchini, Squash, Onion and Mozzarella Quiche delivers all the tastes of summer in one perfect 9 inch round. All that creamy custard is flecked with hearty vegetables and creamy cheese and nestled into one of our buttery, flaky home made pie crusts. Serve it for breakfast, lunch or dinner and you'll find a table full of happy eaters. Each quiche serves 4-6 and pairs beautifully with this week's soup or salad. I was so nervous with the news of early season warm days followed by a late frost ruining all the local orchard crops but a few local farmers have pulled through and alas the Jersey peaches have arrived. Let's celebrate this miracle with a gorgeous seasonal dish. Roasted Chicken Thighs with Fennel and Peaches is everything you want it to be. Crispy edged, juicy chicken thighs roasted with the sweet and savory caramelized flavor of slow cooked fennel and the juicy, jammy delight of cooked peaches. Served with a side of pasta-esque pearled couscous for sopping up all those dazzling roasting juices. We all need a good pasta dish in our weekly rotation and we've got a classic this week. Sausage and Pepper Pasta with Broccoli has all the goodness of your favorite sausage, peppers and onion situation minus the onion and plus a handful of flavor and nutrient packed broccoli! Tossed with imported pasta and dusted with plenty of shaved parmesan, you just cannot go wrong. Order enough for everyone in the family, you're sure to have a lot of happy eaters!

When I'm craving sweets, sometimes I just want that bracingly tart/ sweet lemon flavor. My favorite iteration of this taste sensation is our Classic Lemon Tart. It's going to be so hot this week. The Fourth of July is this weekend. The farmer's markets are filling up with the flavors of summer. All great reasons to let me cook for you this week, my friends!

Let's get this party with everyone's favorite party princess.. our Deviled Eggs! Nothing channels summer family fun quite like these beauties and these rarely last long as everyone loves popping these little treasures into their mouth, certainly my favorite tasty bite. Served by the 1/2 dozen. (meaning 6 whole eggs, in 12 halves.) With a touch of pickle relish inside and plenty of paprika on top. Creamy, dreamy and classic for a reason! What's the perfect accompaniment to any summer gathering...a tray full of Fresh Ranch Dip with Veggies and Potato Chips, of course. A gorgeous, smooth and full of flavor dip-bright with loads of herbs and crushed garlic. Served with fresh cut veggies (some from my garden!) and potato chips for dipping. A hit for any gathering or a super delicious moment to yourself. You'll gobble it right up. Spicy Shrimp and Avocado Salad is just the thing on a hot summer day. Plump, juicy grilled shrimp on a bed of crispy, hydrating tender gem lettuces with plenty of creamy hunks of avocado, wedges of sweet citrus, crunchy thin slices of fresh fennel and a bright and gorgeous fruity vinaigrette that brings it all together. What a perfect meal or great addition to any party spread.

I cannot deny a delightful garden pasta moment and this week's Summer Pasta with Zucchini, Basil and Ricotta really hits the mark. That sweet-sour balsamic goodness coats these tender, fall off the bone pork ribs. It's a great week to eat well!

Let's get this week started right with some delicious meals made with love from me to you! Vegetarian Black Bean Chili is the perfect thing to have stashed in the fridge when a real hunger strikes, Packed with hearty veggies and warming spices that will fill your belly, charge your body and make the world a better place. While we've got the grill cleaned up and ready to go for the season, let's even use it for our salads! Nothing beats that lightly charred flavor of our Grilled Romaine Salad. Crunchy whole romaine head grilled for that distinct flavor, then topped with creamy caesar dressing, house made croutons, parmesan cheese, grape tomatoes and a little red onion. Grab your steak knife and dig in! This salad is a meal in itself! With grill season comes picnic salad season and nothing beats the bright happiness of a perfect Pepperoni Pasta Salad. This especially flavor-packed version is filled with bouncy pasta, plenty of chopped pepperoni, crunchy broccoli, ripe cherry tomatoes, chopped radicchio, a tangy Italian-style honey vinaigrette and chopped Pappadew peppers for some sweet heat. Dumplings might be my family's second favorite meal (behind birria) and we have a great way to enjoy those tender pockets of delight with this week's Butter Braised Tomatoes and Dumplings. A gorgeous warm dish of vegetarian dumplings with buttery cherry and grape tomatoes. Filling and fun and deeply satisfying, don't miss out on this delicious meal that everyone in the family will be slurping down. Who on earth can deny the absolute pleasure of biting into a crisp and juicy piece of Fried Chicken? Geez, that flavor is just so pleasurable in every way. Let's start with an absolute Lovin' Oven classic, our signature Creamy Tomato Bisque. Full of tomato-y flavor and pureed to silky creamy perfection this soup is a hit with everyone. You just can't deny that classic tomato soup vibe. Sold by the quart. The sun is shining and I want to eat all the freshest flavors! How about a Mango and Avocado Salad? Bright and beautiful, this warm weather salad has it all. Featuring ripe and juicy mangos with creamy avocado, sweet and crunchy snap peas and tender lettuce. A garlic kissed lime dressing is just the thing to bring it all together. Let's celebrate the local asparagus while it's here! Grilled Asparagus with Tahini Sauce is just the thing. The sun is shining and the season is upon us. Let's fire up the grill and fill our fridges with delicious meals.

Let's get started with a soup that will make you so dang happy. Chicken Congee is the ultimate Chinese comfort food and one of my all time favorites. Slowwwwww cooked rice and chicken soup breaks down and creates the most scrumptious stew like meal featuring flavor hints of soy sauce and ginger. Topped with some shredded chicken and sliced scallions this soup will wrap you up like a warm hug. Simplicity at its best. Sold by the quart, you might want to grab a few. Mediterranean Salad is everything you want when you are hungry and craving a lot of flavor. Creamy hummus, feta cheese, olives and grilled pita over greens with balsamic vinaigrette makes for a great lunch or start to dinner. Entree sized for one person or appetizer for two! can be made vegan-just note in comments. How many ways can we enjoy local strawberries? Oh, let me count the ways! This week we are offering up a delightful Strawberry and Brie Toast. A gorgeous (and delicious!) way to enjoy Jersey strawberry season with two crunchy wedges of toast topped with sliced strawberries, melty brie, tangy pomegranate molasses and toast pistachio bits! Makes a great breakfast or lunch, or snack any time of the day.

Does anything hit the pleasure button quite like a juicy, crunchy plate of Chicken Milanese? A crispy pounded breaded and fried chicken cutlet topped with lemony arugula salad with red onion and parmesan. I can eat this right out of the fridge but also love to serve it up hot out of the oven with a beautiful tomato salad or it also pairs beautifully with this week's Mediterranean Salad! Nothing says summer quite like a soft pillowy roll stuffed with succulent shrimp salad. Our Shrimp Rolls are packed with plump shrimp, crunchy celery and onion and sweet corn too! Served with two soft rolls on the side so you can build and enjoy at your leisure-just add ocean views and a cold beverage! Yummm. I've been on back yard grill duty almost daily recently and have been enjoying experimenting with all sorts of delicious marinades for cuts of steak. Enter this week's Honey Jalápeno Steak. The perfect grilled steak with a spicy/ sweet marinade made of local honey and slices of spicy peppers. Sliced thin and served with roasted potatoes for a great meal. Grill season is here baby! A summer time staple, our Cold Peanut Noodles are refreshing, creamy and packed with flavor. Slippery noodles are coated in a tasty creamy peanut sauce and tossed with chopped baby spinach, thinly sliced bell peppers, crushed peanuts, cilantro and lime. A perfect meal on a warm early summer day. Picnic season is upon us!
