Hello! We are officially announcing Alto’s closing. We are opening a completely new concept with a completely new menu in a completely new space… SIDE PIECE sushi and izakaya!!!! Prior to opening Alto, our chef/owner was a sushi chef for ten years and his family is from Gifu City, Japan. It has always been a dream of his to open a Japanese sushi and steakhouse. When we started Alto, there were zero italian restaurants in Fremont, now there are 4 on the same block as us!!!! We are all for friendly competition but a saturated market is a completely different story… we completely understand that you all will miss your favorite handmade pasta dishes, signature apps and pizza that only Alto could deliver and we will miss making them… and by making them we (2 owner-chefs) cooked every single dish from scratch with our own two hands. We had a vision that we could bring a higher caliber of cuisine to Fremont, and you trusted us…and we will forever thank you for that…we truly love our Alto family….But we are really looking forward to and are EXCITED for our new adventure! And we hope you can be excited for us too… if you know Alto, you know it was much more than an ITALIAN restaurant. If you know us at all, you know this will be so much more than just a sushi restaurant. So for those of you who are asking… will you being doing this, will you be doing that - yes - there will be dishes similar to our high end seafood entrees and our famous naughty fries and Dan Dan rolls… and our cast iron filet, but I’m not saying much more because we want you all to let yourselves be suprised with the unexpected and delighted by the unknown… and like you did so lovingly before, TRUST US!!! Or don’t and be a negative Nancy… because like before we know how awesome of a place Fremont is and we know this town is ready for something new and invigorating… and we will find our tribe!!!!!!!
