Are you missing those soups?
Craving those powerballs?

Head over to Eclectic Kate LLC and gimmie a follow so you don't miss the next drop!
Soups and such went quick this week! *humbled and grateful*

Still have some powerballs and chocolate Bark left and I'll be in town tomorrow (Wed.) afternoon/evening!

This will be the last invitation, probably one of the final posts, so....go! Follow, like, and get that local organic goodness even more conveniently and keep in touch!! I miss your faces already 🥺

The nilfc.org window opens tomorrow, this emerging market NEEDS your support. Lets make it happen 🙌

JDLF Collective store is open this week and the jdlf.org online market is abundant even for this time of year...buying window opens again Friday.

Stephenson County Farmers Market indoor market is this weekend. I really hope you go support my dear friend and all the folks who work hard to be there Saturdays ❤️

There's a momentum shift happening...can you feel it? Let's rock n roll!!

This is the year for the local food revolution to really gain speed! Help fuel it, while fueling yourself well. 😘

It's bittersweet writing these last few posts, but just know my quest for local, healthful, delicious food is not ending.

After the new year stay tuned for information on how you can keep in touch and keep supporting local food!

As for this week: hot soup, great coffee, comforting treats...all the same goodness you've grown to love.

Nothing lasts forever, some things don't last as long as we initially intended. However, that doesn't negate the fact that this grand experiment is absolutely a success and it wouldn't have been so without you.

Thankyou.

Let's make the last two days count!

Dine United:
5% of daily sales + tip jar money goes to United Way of NWIL in their initiative to help local families in need.

The more of you who show up and purchase your donation based
(aka Pay What You Can) food and beverage, the more impact we can have in creating ease in someone's life when they need it the most.

The usual line up of home made locally sourced soup, bread, and health forward treats will be available, plenty of cookies! (I may have over batched...)

Open Friday 11-4
Saturday 10-1

Then that's all for Full Circle Cafe & Collective.

📣These are the last two weeks that Full Circle Cafe & Collective will be open and operating.📣

The lease is up at the end of December, and the board will be reading my letter of intention this evening, so I figured it was time to make the announcement that :

📣Full Circle Cafe & Collective will be closed for good after Saturday December 20th.📣

Business is good. Numbers are fine. Traffic is what I could hope for.
The business is not closing because it is failing.

Which made this decision even more difficult.

The other part that made this decision incredibly difficult is you....the people,
the faces that come in, the people who get excited and inspired to find a place like this;
Every single human that has supported this venture in so many different ways has kept me inspired and motivated to keep showing up and that is something that I have not taken for granted even for a moment.

I'm incredibly humbled. I have no words for the way this community showed up for this business, and am certain that it is a testament to not only the community of Freeport, but the necessity for places like this in our town.

I could absolutely give you all the personal reasons why I am not continuing, but I don't want to. So I will share a quote that I read almost daily:

“The cost of a thing is the amount of what I call life which is required to be exchanged for it, immediately or in the long run.” -Henry David Thoreau

I do want to enjoy these last two weeks of this adventure and end on a really good great note; being an oasis for giving and receiving nourishment.

The cafe may be closing, but I'm not going anywhere.

Food in many forms; nourishment for the whole being....these passions and skills have been refined over this past year. I've expanded skills, learned new ones, and deepened my knowing in so many facets of food and business ownership.

What has been harvested from this experience will surely fuel the next chapter of nourishment and caregiving regardless the form it embodies as.

So let's enjoy these last two weeks.
These last 4 days. (F. 11-4 & Sat. 10-1)
Uplifting each other through food and creativity.

From the deepest creases of my gooey melty heart.....
THANKYOU FREEPORT
This community is pretty awesome.
It's an honor to serve you.

I'm grateful often, for many things, but today I am grateful to be able to open the doors once again and serve the local love like never before.

No prices, hot soup, crafty time, giving while you are receiving, and enjoying the homemade food that I love to craft each week.

I received a handmade card this week and oh how I was reminded of how much more special a gift is when it is made by hand. It was beautiful and I felt special.

Do not be surprised if you walk in and I am elbow deep in hot glue and felt.😆

💫That's the vibe we are working to cultivate here in this tiny little space this month. We have 6 days to do it, and I think it's gonna be wonderful.💫

📣If you have crafting items you'd like to unload, now's the time to clear you stash out. Drop it off whenever I'm open! At the end of the month, everything will go to a good home.
(I have a few ideas of where I would like to donate the lot of it.)💝

What are 🫵you grateful for today?👂🏻Let's hear it!

Two days, each week, packed with loving offerings to help carry you through the holiday season.

-Open Fridays 11-4, Saturdays 10-1

-Free Make & Take Craft Station (or take the supplies you need home!)

-Dine United; each day 5% of sales + tip jar money will be donated to United Way of NWIL and their Dine United initiative.

-My teas & tinctures are all on sale, grab what you need to keep your household healthy this winter!

I'm curious and excited to get this experiment underway, and it will only work if YOU show up! Stop by and fill your cup!

This week the creamy potato soup is going to hit the spot with this deep cold setting in.

I hope you have all been warm and cozy and well cared for. It's been a wonderful break to recharge, rest, and enjoy being at home!

The usual suspects are on the line up for the menu this week, and even though we are now in winter mode, there are still plenty of local ingredients to create with.

Speaking of local....there is a huge line up of opportunities for you to support local, keep your dollars local, and help others have an excellent holiday season:

One I wanted to highlight is the JDLF Collective in Elizabeth.
They are hosting a wonderful Small Business Saturday Event
this Saturday December 6th. Go Check It Out!
https://www.facebook.com/share/14UYywUjmqg/

Also! tag or drop any other opportunities in the area to uplift small business owners and enjoy the good parts of the holiday season!

Soups, scones, baked goods, lattes, and more on deck for you this week. Stay tuned for the line up later this week!

See you Friday!

For the 6 days that the café is open in December the exchange model is a little different...

Pay What You Can
(Local and state taxes still applicable)
In the spirit of simplicity it works like this:

-Order what you need for nourishment
-Pay whatever feels right for your situation (or just say thankyou)
-Enjoy

You can stop in and simply make donations to the "pool" as well. (pay it forward)

In addition, regardless of your contribution, those dollars will also help those in need: I've partnered with United Way of Northwest Illinois and their Dine United program.

5% of each day's revenue PLUS tip jar money will be donated to support families in this community.

So:
✅️Crafting workshop
✅️Making an impact with your dollar
✅️Experiencing a different way of doing things
✅️Delicious Local Food
✅️All in less than 600sq ft of space.

Saturdays 10-1
