HUGE news in the Iowa HS Wrestling community!!!

Congratulations to 2001 Iowa HS State Wrestling Champion at 1A 112 and Army vet who was the recipient of the Purple Heart, Aaron Helmrich; North Linn HS ‘01 for accepting the Head Coaching position at powerhouse, Lisbon HS!

Aaron Helmrich was a 3X Qualifier from North Linn. He placed 6th at 1A 112 in 2000 and he got 1st in 2001 at 1A 112. His career record was 132-20.

Aaron enlisted in the Army after HS. He was enlisted for almost 20 years and was deployed 6 times: Iraq 3 times, once to Afghanistan, once to Germany and once to Saudi Arabia. He earned a Purple Heart when he got wounded in Combat in 2011 in Afghanistan.

These past few years he spent time coaching at Sergeant Bluff-Luton HS where they all loved him… some of them refer to him as the “lineup genius” over there.

One of the nicest guys you’ll meet… Couldn’t be happier for this guy!

We wish goodbye (very soon) to our summer staff who are returning to school and off to college! We are looking to hire year-round part time or full time cashiers. 16 and older only please 🙏 Day, weekend and night shifts available. We are flexible with time off and schedule requests 🙂

A big thank you to our customers for your patience and understanding! With additional team members added we would like to announce a full kitchen 7 days a week! We also will be extending our hours and will now close at 7pm daily. Last call in the kitchen will be 6:30pm.

Yesterday the fan for our stoves and fryolator died. ☠️ This means we are unable to cook hot sandwiches and sides until a new motor is installed. 😭 We are hoping that the motor will be installed late Friday. 🤞 Despair not, though! We can still make pizzas, calzones, sandwiches and cold subs. 🥰
