A fun last week. And the kitchen put roast beef back on the menu after we ran out of it. It's really good! Looking ahead at some ideas for fall specials. Thanks everyone for your continued patronage, it's a special place because of you all.

Heads up! Get your Gumba's 44 fix tonight and tomorrow. Except for a scheduled private function on Tuesday, we've decided to close all 3 days next week (September 7-8-9) and hopefully get caught up on a few things. Not many open seats
last night - what a great group of people!

We wrapped up the file on the Lighthouse party and have prepared a nice gift for St Jude. Thanks to everyone who helped make that a success. A more formal thanks came in the form of a pig roast! Gumba's 44 Orchard special events are getting some notice. Looking ahead, we will close for Labor Day - September 7.

Still doing some number crunching on the Lighthouse party. An additional thanks goes out to the late contributions! August has brought in some fun groups - the pizza party table on the patio got a couple of good trials, and there's almost always an 8-top inside. Of course there's the food, but what makes the place really special continues to be our customers, and the surprise reunions of old friends. We are filling up more frequently lately, so reservations are encouraged - especially for parties with over 4 people (716-401-3030 after 3:00 pm M-W). Still serving dinner M-W from 4:30, including take-out. Last pizza order at 7:15, otherwise, last order at 7:30. B**r and w**e from the bar. Cash (ATM inside).

And a special thanks to all those who stepped up to help promote, procure, stage, cook, transport, set up, serve, tear down and clean up. It was impressive!! Heading into a new week at Gumba's 44 Orchard. Can't wait to hear what the kitchen has in store for you! Let's see if a few more of you can get a ticket for next Sunday's party at the lighthouse. It's a fantastic location, and the food will be extraordinary!
