The Depot Cafe, Fredericktown The Depot Cafe, housed in a historic train depot, opened in February of 2016. Since that time, great food and great service have been the focus.

Hey Friends,
We reopen Wednesday at 11 am.
For lunch we will be offering a Steak Sandwich. Strips of ribeye are seared to order, topped with pepper jack cheese, sautéed peppers and onions, and a chipotle mayonaise, all served on a grilled brioche bun.
The Southwest Steak Salad is our seasonal salad.
The current pasta special is our Baked Lasagna.
The evening's seafood special is the new Bay Scallop with Shrimp and Crab Ravioli in a White Wine Cream Sauce.
Just a heads up folks, this coming Friday starts the first full weekend of the month, and that means Lobster Cannelloni for Friday and Saturday evening.

Sunday morning's we open at 9 am, offering our brunch menu. A new option is our Lobster Benedict. Different than most, we start with a lobster cannelloni and two poached eggs topped with hollandaise, served with steamed broccoli and grilled sourdough.
The Breakfast Boat is one of our most popular items on Sundays. Fried potatoes topped with chopped sausage and grilled onions, two over medium eggs and shredded cheddar. Served with a biscuit and gravy.
Starting at 11 am we add our Sunday Supper menu. Today's pasta special is our Baked Lasagna.
This cool day is perfect for our Chicken Pot Pies.

It's a beautiful Saturday, and time to get out and play.
Let's start with pastas. The Spinach Tortellini with Chicken in a Tomato Cream will probably sell out during lunch. Not to worry, we also have our Baked Lasagna. Made in our, we fill five sheets of pasta with a ricotta cheese mixture, a beef and Italian sausage red sauce and more cheese. We bake each piece to order with more sauce and cheese.
We currently have a Southwest Steak Salad available. Fresh greens, roasted red bell pepper, cheese, pepitas, caramelized onions and culotte steak cooked to order. Served with our own Spinach Pepita salad dressing.
The seafood special is new. We sauté bay scallops in garlic butter, then toss them along with shrimp and crab ravioli in a white wine cream sauce. Topped with shaved parmesan and smoked paprika. Based on last night's response, this one will go in the recipe book.
New also is the Coulotte Steak. Popular in South America, this cut of meat comes from the rump of the cow, a top sirloin cap. Lean, tender, juicy and full flavored, we charbroil an 8 ounce portion, then top it with a cremini mushroom brown gravy.

Hey Folks,
Just got around to getting a picture of tonight's seafood special. Sautéed bay scallops are tossed in a white wine cream sauce with shrimp and crab ravioli. Top it off with shaved parmesan and smoked paprika. Served with a vegetable and a choice of soup or salad.

It's Friday Folks,
The new Seasonal Salad is a Southwest Steak Salad.
For lunch we have a Blackened Fish Sandwich.
The pasta special for lunch today is a Spinach Tortellini and Chicken in a Tomato Cream Sauce.
Baggage Car Sandwiches are offered today and go on the menu next week.
Starting at 4 pm today, we will be bringing back our Baked Lasagna as our pasta special.
There will be two seafood specials this evening. First is a Blackened Red Snapper with Fettuccine in a Cajun Cream Sauce.
The second on will be Bay Scallops with Shrimp and Crab Ravioli in a White Wine Cream Sauce.

The new Coulotte Steak with ChimiChurri Mushroom Gravy starts at 4 pm.
The seafood special will be a Blackened Red Snapper with Fettuccine in a Cajun Cream Sauce.

And back for a while as our seasonal salad is the Southwest Steak Salad. A bed of fresh spring mix is topped with shredded white cheeses, roasted red peppers, roasted pepitas, grilled culotte steak and caramelized onions. Served with our house made spinach pepita salad dressing.

We reopen for the week on Wednesday starting off with a Spinach Tortellini and Chicken in a Sun Dried Tomato Cream Sauce.
Baggage Cars are available, and soon to go permanently on the menu.
For lunch today we have a Blackened White Fish Sandwich. These 7-9 ounce filets of fish are served on a brioche bun with our cabbage mixture, sliced provolone and tomato. Served with a side and a lemon garlic aioli.
This evening the Coulotte Steak is grilled and topped with a Chimichurri Mushroom Gravy.
The seafood special is a Blackened Red Snapper served with fettuccine in a cajun cream sauce with vegetable and choice of soup or salad.

Sunday Brunch starts at 9 am, and we seat until 2 pm.
The new Lobster Benedict is being very well received.
The new fryer did arrive last week, so all menu items are good to go.
The Breakfast Boat is a top seller for brunch.
If you haven't tried it yet, we have a Turkey Club Benedict.
Starting at 11 am we offer our Sunday Supper Menu.
Chicken Pot Pies are available while supplies last.
The Baggage Car Sandwich is a great non brunch item.

It's going to be a beautiful Saturday in Fredericktown.
For lunch today we have a new Shredded Pork Sandwich. Roast pork is tossed in a house made gravy, then served on a grilled sub roll with provolone cheese. Simple with a great flavor.
Starting off lunch with the Chicken Penne in a Sage Cream Sauce. We have a limited number of these left.
For dinner we will be offer a new pasta dish, a Cheese filled Spinach Tortellini tossed in a Sun Dried Tomato Cream sauce with Chicken.
Apple Bourbon Pork chops are available in both lunch and dinner options.
We have a new steak this weekend, a Coulotte. This lean, full flavored steak comes from the hind quarter of the cow, also known a the picanha, popular in Brazilian cuisine. We charbroil these 8 ounce steaks, then top them with a chimichurri mushroom gravy.
