We asked for help.

One of my favorite things about creating cakes for quinceañeras is knowing they become part of such an important memory.

Years from now, the photos will still be there. The stories will still be told. The family will still remember gathering together to celebrate this special day.

It's a reminder that some celebrations are about so much more than the decorations or the cake itself.

They're about the people we share them with.

“What can I get for $20?”

Me: Nothing.

Not because I don’t want your business, but because behind that custom cake, dessert, or order is a lot more than flour and sugar.

There’s rent.
There’s gas.
There’s payroll.
There’s packaging.
There’s butter that somehow costs more every time I order it.
There’s electricity, insurance, repairs, and supplies that never stop going up.

And then there are all the hours nobody sees:
Planning.
Designing.
Baking.
Decorating.
Packaging.
Cleaning.
Answering messages at all hours of the day.

The funny thing is, when you buy gas, groceries, or pay your rent, nobody asks what you think the price should be. The price is the price.

Yet somehow, small business owners hear:”Can you do it cheaper?””My budget is only...””I saw someone else do it for less.”

Trust me, we wish everything cost less too.

So when we quote a price, we’re not just charging for ingredients. You’re paying for experience, craftsmanship, time, overhead, and years of learning how to do it right.

A little grace goes a long way. Small businesses are out here doing our best to stay afloat in an economy that gets more expensive every year.
