In a world that’s falling in love with beige, gray, and black & white… I still choose COLOR!

Don’t get me wrong, I love simplicity and elegance. But colors just make my heart happy!

Sometimes life makes us look a little gray on the outside, even when we’re full of beautiful colors on the inside.

And isn’t that a reflection of the greatest Artist of all? Just look at God’s creation! Flowers, sunsets, butterflies… a world full of color.

That’s why I see every cake as a blank canvas waiting to come alive.

Sometimes I bring color into someone’s day with my smile (some people actually like it! LOL), but most of the time, I do it through what I love most: creating cakes!

Because elegance doesn’t always have to be beige!

And I’ll keep bringing color into this world, one cake at a time!

Zuly’s Bakery will be closed Monday and Tuesday (October 12–13) for maintenance and a little behind-the-scenes work.

Just finished delivering a wedding cake, and here I am, reminding myself of something I also want to share with every woman out there every entrepreneur, mother, and wife who’s giving her all, even on the hardest days.

HELP! I need your ideas!

I have this little space inside Zuly’s, and I really want to turn it into something special, something beautiful, useful, and that adds a little extra magic to the bakery.

But… what should it be?

Flowers? 💐
A little wedding & cake showroom? 💍
A Zuly’s gift shop with cute things to take home? 🎁
A Ready-to-Go Cake Bar where you can walk in and grab a beautiful cake for a last-minute celebration? 🎂
Maybe something completely different that I haven’t even thought of yet!

So I want to hear from YOU. What would you absolutely LOVE to have inside Zuly’s that would complement the bakery and make you want to stop by even more?

And… maybe there’s a local creative, florist, maker, or small business out there with an amazing concept looking for the perfect little space. I’d love to hear your ideas too!

Apparently, being a baker also means being a sculptor, engineer, painter… and occasionally questioning every decision that led you here.

But if there’s one thing I LOVE, it’s a challenge. Especially the kind that makes me look at it and think, “Okay… how in the world am I going to make THAT?”

This project started with a photo, a slightly crazy idea, a few screws, A LOT of cake, modeling chocolate, edible paint… and somewhere along the way, he came to life.

Because sometimes, it’s not “just cake.”

It’s structure. It’s sculpture. It’s color. It’s texture. It’s patience. It’s problem-solving. It’s creativity. It’s ART.

And maybe that’s what I love most about what I do: taking an idea that seems impossible and turning it into something you can see, touch… and eventually eat.

Creating pieces like this from my little bakery and getting to represent Fredericksburg, Texas through my work makes me incredibly proud.

And after all of that… someone gets to cut into it and eat it.
