Renovation plans are in the works for Frederick’s Red Horse restaurant, which has been closed for more than five months following a January fire.

Just to update our lovely fans and the city of Frederick. Nothing moves quickly with this process unfortunately. You can’t just hire a contractor and fix it, I’ve found out. Things are moving as quickly as possible. GTM Architects from 2nd street are finishing the drawings and should be finished early next week and then we submit them to the city and health department which are very sympathetic to our situation. The major contractors in the area are bidding on these drawings and assure us they can finish the new and improved The Red Horse Steak House. We want it back as soon as possible more than anyone and the contractors definitely say it can be completed as soon as October. We are diligently working every day to assist the architects and contractors to make this process as smooth and quick as possible. The Horse will be galloping soon ❤️🐎

Just an update on The Red Horse Servpro of Frederick has finished cleaning and demolition of all the damaged areas. Currently waiting for GTM architects to finish the drawings for the redesigned kitchen. Once this is completed, we will pick a local contractor to put our lovely horse back together. Most of the damaged areas are superficial due to water and smoke. This process is slow going for our standards but we are hopeful once the contractor gets going it will move a little quicker❤️

This community ROCKS❤️, thank you for all the support for our staff, they truly are the very best people and this was all for them . This will be a rough road but we are determined to recover as quickly as possible. We love our customers immensely ❤️ The landmark & legacy will continue my friends 🐎🐎🐎 we apologize for any delay but I’m working feverishly to push push push! I love my horse and will post pictures as we move in the right direction.
