Something wicked this way comes to Middletown… October has arrived, the days are getting shorter, and there are only THREE Middletown Farmers Markets left this season, including today.

At 4 PM sharp, the market comes alive with the sounds of Kate Smiles, while Bon Appétit Bowls brings the good stuff to eat and M.R. Cheesecakes brings the good stuff to… well, eat too.

The pumpkins are appearing. The winter squash are multiplying. The sweet potatoes are piling up. The apples are crisp, and your favorite local growers and makers are still bringing you plenty of reasons to come see us before the season disappears into the night.

Lurking amongst the vendors this week is our Vendor of the Week, Butter’s Breads with sourdough breads known to disappear mysteriously, especially when there’s soup involved.

“They could all be like this…” Those are words you can expect to hear frequently today at the Farmers Market. How true it is.

Today is bringing us one of those September market days that makes you remember exactly why we do this. Mostly sunny skies, pleasant temperatures, and a beautiful day to come downtown, wander through the market, pick up something good, and spend a little time with your neighbors.

M.R.CHEESECAKES will be here with the sweet stuff, Cary Knox will be sharing his musical talents, and the Friends of the Brunswick Library will be joining us under the awesome new pavilion.

Of course, we also have a great lineup of local farmers and artisans bringing plenty of good things to shop.

This Friday at the Farmers Market, M.R.CHEESECAKES is giving us a very good reason to linger a little longer.

It's going to be a perfect early-fall Friday evening with a slice of really good cheesecake, something cold to drink, and good people sitting around enjoying each other’s company. No big agenda. Just one of those evenings when you look around and think, “Yep. This is exactly where I want to be.”

I’m thinking we should make a happy hour of it... or maybe happy hours.

Thursday is the early start to Labor Day Weekend, especially for those of you hitting the road tomorrow. So why not kick off the unofficial end of summer at the best weekday market around?

We’ve got a loaded lineup for you this week. Bonus Bites is making their Middletown debut with their loaded tots, while M.R.CHEESECAKES returns with slices of decadent desserts. Tim Seals, the Farmer Market Minstrel, will be playing live, Druidcraft Coffee is our Vendor of the Week, and Stefania Olive Oil joins us as a guest vendor.

National Farmers Market Week is a chance to celebrate everything that makes a farmers market feel like a farmers market. Today's farmers markets are more than just plein air grocery shopping, they're also gathering places. They're where neighbors catch up, friends meet for dinner, kids dance to live music, and families make an evening of shopping local.

That's why you'll find food trucks here.

Each food truck our market features is a local small business. They're owned by people from our communities who work long hours, take risks, create jobs, and give us another reason to spend time at the market. A great meal keeps people here a little longer, which means more conversations, more connections, and more opportunities to discover the farmers and artisans around them.

This week we're excited to welcome Grilled Cheese Please back to the market, serving the gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, loaded tots, soups, and other comfort food they've become known for throughout the region. And as an added bonus, M.R.CHEESECAKES returns with another round of incredible cheesecake by the slice.

A farmers market should feed a community in more ways than one. Fresh food. Local businesses. Shared experiences. Food trucks have earned their place in that tradition, and we're proud to make them part of the Middletown experience.

It's market day in Myersville, and this Saturday is packed with reasons to stop by! Bridey Tine is making her market debut, bringing her incredible live music to the market for the very first time. (You don't want to miss her cover of "Choosin' Texas"!) M.R.CHEESECAKES will be tempting you with decadent cheesecake slices and coffee and espresso beverages, Orth Gourmet is back with his made-from-scratch soups, and yes... there will be pierogi from Punk N' Peasant!

We're also excited to welcome the Wolfsville Myersville Athletic Association as this week's Community Tent organization. Stop by to learn about their programs promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and fun for young athletes in our community.
