Many thanks to everyone who has continued to reach out over the last several months via DM, email, voicemail, and text asking how things are going and when we are reopening — thank you for not forgetting about On A Lark Pizza Co. We really appreciate you taking the time to check in and for the steady encouragement to keep the faith and not give up. Your messages have meant more to us than you know.
We know it has been quiet on our end. Since our unexpected temporary closure at the beginning of September, we simply haven’t been in a position to provide a meaningful update. It wasn’t because we didn’t want to share what was going on — quite the opposite. We just didn’t have solid, reliable information that we felt confident enough to put out there. And we never want to share guesses.
We have now reached a point in the building planning process where we are cautiously optimistic.🤞We are incredibly grateful to David R. Haas Excavating for installing the required detention pond and new septic system! Materials are onsite for our new well, which is scheduled to be drilled later this month — a huge shout out to Winegar Well Service!
Here’s what we’re expecting over the coming months:
• Pavement design for new turn lane off Burning Tree Square – complete
• Submit building plans to the County for review & comments – this week
• Submit Health Department license applications – this week
• Finish drilling & install new well – Feb/Mar
• Incorporate County feedback and apply for building permits – March
• Begin demo & reconstruction – as soon as we obtain building permits (April🙏)
We truly wish we could tell you exactly when we’ll reopen — we wish we knew ourselves. The timeline depends on building permit issuance, Health Department licensing, and final approvals, and those pieces are not entirely in our control. But we are moving forward — step by step.
