Community Action in Aroostook, Washington, and Hancock Counties (CAAWHC) is launching a Mobile Service Unit (MSU) tour across Downeast Maine throughout the remainder of May, specifically designed to reach households who have not yet applied for the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) this season.....

HEAP funding to help income-eligible households with home heating costs is still currently available. Application deadline is May 29, but program demand could increase as heating fuel prices rise and winter continues.

Households without heat or with less than 7 days of fuel may qualify for ECIP, a one-time emergency benefit of up to $500 eligible households, available through April 1.

Application for these programs is through a single process at mainehousing.org/HEAP.
