In his 36th year, the Buddha stopped to rest in the shade of a fig tree (later to be named the Bodhi Tree for the region in which it was located) and decided he would not move from that spot until he had reached enlightenment. Though we do not guarantee you will find enlightenment while in the Bodhi Tree Café, our main goal is to create a home away from home where people can gather and find relaxa
tion and comfort on all levels. The store will feature a café, a retail store full of spiritually-based items, and a self-help center. The café will offer the highest quality organic and non-organic coffee and teas along with frappe's, fruit smoothies and other beverages, as well as an assortment of baked goods from local bakeries. We will also have a very limited "cold" menu of wraps, salads, vegetable platters, cheese platters, etc ...
The café will present a very warm, relaxing atmosphere where you can come and decompress with friends. We will have acoustic entertainment to help add to the serene atmosphere. The furnishings will be eclectic in nature and far from the “corporate feel” of some cafés. Our goal is to make you feel as though you are sitting in our living room while enjoying the company of friends and family. The store will consist of a wide assortment of self-help and spiritually-based items such as books, crystals, incense, herbs, candles, motivational items, etc. We will also feature many homemade items to give a platform to some very talented and gifted artisans. Some of the items will be homemade jams, soaps, dream-catchers, jewelry and more. (If you know anyone who makes homemade items that would fit into the theme of the store, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can consider them for inclusion.) The self-help center will feature motivational workshops along with guided meditations, weekly discussion groups, life coaching, hypno-counselors, Reiki masters, massage therapist, tarot card readers, and much more to come. We will also have local musicians playing at the cafe along with monthly drum circles and more to come ...
We are a “mom and pop” café, and the focus will be on you. This café will evolve according to your suggestions and needs.
