Naturally Yummally

Naturally Yummally Bakery... Everything is baked fresh, never frozen, using quality organic ingredients. I'm a homeschooling mom of 6 boys, walking in faith through cancer.

Sharing love, laughter & real-life moments. I'm glad you're here! My life verse... Romans 12:12 The story behind “Naturally Yummally”...

Hey!! For the new friends on here that don’t know me yet, I’m Candy (the recipe creator of Naturally Yummally). I am the person you will see at the local markets. But, I'm never alone and usually have 2 of my sons and my husband helping me. It's a group effort w

ith everybody having their jobs to pull off market days with few glitches. On the day to day, you can find me homeschooling 5 of my boys. We have 6 boys total, yep you read that right. Our oldest is 25 and doing the adulting thing. In case you’re wondering, no, there’s never a dull moment around here, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. If it’s a Thursday, there’s a good chance you might see us trying out the swings or even spiraling down one of the tunnel slides at one of the many playgrounds in the B/CS area with our local homeshcool group. I have always loved frequenting playgrounds, even before kids, and have managed to work this love for all things playground into our homeschool routine. I guess I’ll always be a kid at heart. I am an accountant by trade but with homeschooling all of these boys, now’s probably not the best time to be taking care of other folks money. Lol I mean my schedule and my hands are pretty full without adding the stress of financial deadlines for businesses other than my own. But, I realized that I needed something just for me, a distraction for my always spinning mind and an outlet for my creative side. Naturally Yummally started out with just our mugcake mixes when our oldest was a Freshman at UNT in Denton. He quickly grew tired of the typical junk food and was wanting something more homemade. So I came up with these simple but delicious mugcake mixes. They were perfect for the dorm life and gave the taste of homemade. Naturally Yummally also comes from our heart to bring awareness of how important your food choices are and to provide better options. Certain health issues, specifically, multiple cancers, and more specifically kidney cancer (for the past 17 years) and now breast cancer, that had made its domain in my body, caused our family to make the decision to change our diet rather drastically. We thought we had been eating healthy but we really weren't. You know what I mean, packaged foods with the bulk of the ingredients being something that you can’t pronounce, let alone know what they are, plus the refined white sugars, bleached flours, and don’t get me started on the preservatives galore. Wow, what a shock to our pantry when we realized we weren’t really eating healthy. I "could" give up sweets all together, but realistically, I know that I won't. My love for brownies is far too great. So, the healthier alternative is to use organic ingredients. After many trials and errors we finally conquered our favorite recipes and find them to be quite tasty. Shockingly, since we first started this journey, I have even created some rather delicious sugar free (stevia and erythritol sweetened) versions. Instead of being greedy and keeping this yumminess to ourselves, we decided to share and thus, the birth of “Naturally Yummally”. This has not only been an amazing mental distraction and creative outlet using my love for baking and gift for creating new recipes, but it has also opened the doors to so many newfound relationships that I wouldn’t otherwise have. As I’m walking through this season of life I’m reminded of the verse, Ecclesiates 3:1 “For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven”. Of course I would rather not have cancer, but it is what it is and it has transformed me to be the person that I am and that, I wouldn’t change. For this season, my purpose is to help others in any way I can, whether it be by encouragement, friendship, or a simple healthier version of a mug cake or brownie. Our heart’s desire, or motto if you will, is to help you keep your baking healthier and your family happy. And we hope that at some point along the way we accomplish that. Candy & Ronnie Lunsford

Thank you Aggieland!!

Breads were SOLD OUT by 9:30… WHAT?! WOW!! 😳🥖

I’m still a little shocked! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for showing up and loving our breads the way you do. 🥹

And can I just say… I am SO proud of today’s breads!

The weather cooled off just enough last night that it wasn’t completely unbearable in my kitchen ANNND more importantly, my breads turned out beautiful and fluffy.

I’m calling that a perfect combination! 🙌🏻

There’s just something about pulling those golden loaves out of the oven, giving them a little squeeze, and knowing this one is GOOD. And today? They were really GOOD. 🩵

Thank you for stopping by our turquoise canopy at The Farmers Market in Brazos County, for buying something we made, and for cheering on this crazy little bakery dream of ours.

We couldn’t do it without you.

Now I’m off to rest my feet, watch a movie with Ronnie, and enjoy some Fudgey Texas Sheet Cake with ice cream. 😋 We had a few Cake Jars left, and I think I’ve earned one!

With so much gratitude,
~ Candy 🤎🩵

The 4:57 Pause...

Before you rush into the weekend...

Take a minute.

Maybe this week went beautifully.
Maybe it was a complete mess.
Maybe it was somewhere in between.

Whatever it was, you made it here. That's worth something. So let the dishes wait a little longer.

Laugh with your people.
Rest.
Enjoy your weekend!

I'll see you Monday at 4:57. 💙

LAST CALL FOR PREORDERS! 🚨

The ovens are getting ready… and the boys have been watching. 👀😂

Every time an order comes in, somebody asks:

“Are we getting closer to our goal?!”

Because around here, the boys know that every order helps build our Bakery Dream Board. 🥖💭

We’re working toward some BIG bakery dreams, and they’re learning that those dreams don’t just happen — you work for them, one loaf, one bag of granola, and one order at a time. ❤️

So if you’ve been thinking about ordering for tomorrow…

Tonight is your LAST CALL!

⏰ Preorders close at 7 PM TONIGHT

We’ll be at The Farmers Market in Brazos County tomorrow morning from 8 AM–12 PM, with all the fresh-baked goodness coming out of the ovens tonight and tomorrow morning.

And yes… 👀

The boys will absolutely be checking that goal one more time before bedtime. 😂💕

Thank you for helping us build this little bakery dream, one order at a time. 🥖❤️

The 4:57 Pause...

We are so quick to look at what we didn't get done.

The laundry still needs folding.
The kitchen still needs cleaning.
The list still has things crossed off... and things that aren't.

But stop for a second. Look at everything you did do today.

You showed up.
You kept going.
You loved your people.

And that ALL counts.

See you tomorrow at 4:57. 💙

Some breads are serious. But our Cinnamon Boule is not one of them. 😂

It's warm.
It's cinnamon-y.
It's a little sweet.
And it has absolutely no business smelling this AHHmazing.

Think of it as the rustic, crusty cousin of a cinnamon roll and soooo good. And we're not mad about it.

📣 Have you heard Preorders are now open until 8 PM Friday night?!

Find us Saturday under our Turquoise Canopy at:

🥖 The Farmers Market in Brazos County
