Come on down!!
Elkhorn Creek is low, but the Kentucky River is ready to go! Bear with us, we’ve got a lot of information to share.
Due to low water conditions, Elkhorn Creek trips are currently closed through Sunday, October 4 and will remain closed until we get some significant rain.
Our Elkhorn Creek retail store will remain open for shopping. We’ll be open Saturday, September 26, and beginning Sunday, September 27, just give us a call to schedule an appointment to shop at the Mill.
Now for the good news.
Our Kentucky River Downtown Paddle is OPEN, and this weekend is shaping up to be a beautiful one. Fall weather, plenty of water, and a great excuse to spend a few hours paddling through downtown Frankfort.
Already booked for Elkhorn? Give us a call and we can move your trip over to the Kentucky River. Reservations are highly recommended, with walk-ins available first come, first served.
And don’t forget about our Full Moon Float Saturday evening from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. A cool fall evening, the Kentucky River, and the natural light of the full moon sounds pretty hard to beat.
Another bonus of paddling downtown is the River House.
The River House has a little something for everybody, with snacks and drinks for all ages and a few options on the menu reserved for the 21-and-up crowd. I’m also hearing the S’mores Old Fashioned might just be the unofficial beverage of fall around here.
Come paddle the Kentucky River, hang out at the River House, enjoy some beautiful fall weather, and make a day of it with Canoe Kentucky.
