This season, we are coming together to make a difference in the fight against cancer. On October 10, 2026, our players, cheerleaders, coaches, families and community will be raising awareness and funds to support families affected by cancer.

This is Charlyze story:
Charlyze was a very healthy 17 year old in her final weeks of varsity track and junior year at
Frankenmuth High School. She happened to notice a lump above her collar bone and thought,
“That’s weird”. Thankfully, she told her parents. Thankfully, her doctor was cautious and wanted “to just be safe”. Thankfully, we caught her stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma when we did.
Charlyze has been in the care of the University of Michigan Pediatric Hematology and Oncology team where she had three surgeries and four chemotherapy infusions since June 25th. She had a serious infection that had her hospitalized for one week, where the doctors said that had she not come in when she did, she may not have survived. Thankfully, she did. She is half way through treatment and has been told that she is completely responding. We are hopeful that Chalyze will be done with treatment by the new year and will start out 2027 cancer free.
Charlyze is a good student. She works as a hostess and loves talking with the guests. She is a talented artist. She loves hanging with her friends and family. She has been a part of the girls’ varsity golf team for five years (her first year as a manager). She continues to play even while in treatment! She competes in the hurdle and sprint events during track season. She plans toattend college after graduation.
