Happy 4th of July, everyone! 🎇❤️

Even with a little holiday rain, I hope you’re all having a wonderful day.

The vacation files are officially closed, and I have made it back. Corpus Christi was absolutely amazing—even if I did spend half my beach time checking for jellyfish and having a tiny bit of anxiety about what exactly was swimming next to me! 🌊😅

Honestly, if I could have, I would’ve stayed forever to live out my schedule-free, retired-on-the-coast dreams. But absence makes the heart grow fonder, and the itch to get back in the kitchen has officially commenced!

An inquiry update: I am officially tackling the inbox today and pouring those email responses right back out to you! Thank you all so much for your patience while I catch up on my messages and get back into work mode. 📥✨

Frosting Layers is officially out of the kitchen until July 5th-ish! I’ll be checking messages occasionally, but my main focus is soaking up every single second with my family. I promise to fully dive into all inquiries as soon as I’m back!

Story time: 🤍🤍

I swore I wasn’t taking any more orders after my birthday, but then a groom-to-be messaged me about a secret surprise for his future wife… and how could I possibly say no to that?!

He was so excited that he even dropped off actual flowers from their centerpieces to make sure everything matched perfectly. When he came to pick it up, he was just beaming, telling me how the DJ and videographer were all in on the surprise.🌺🌸

Getting to play a small part in their story completely made my week! I couldn’t think of a better final cake to share before jumping in the car and heading straight for the ocean. 🌊☀️🚘

Huge congratulations to the newlyweds! May you always show up for each other the way you did today, and have the absolute best time building your life together! 🎉❤️

Since I spend my time custom-making cakes for everyone else’s special days, I figured it was time to custom-craft something special just for him—so this year, I infused a few different liquors for him to enjoy for many moments to come.

Happiest Father’s Day to one of the most amazing people I know. If you know him, you might not peg him as a "girl dad," but he’s honestly the absolute best with our girls. He’s patient, he listens to all their school stories and ideas, he teaches them how to be independent, and he is always there for them. It’s everything I could ever ask for.

Cheers to you, babe. I love building this beautiful, crazy life with you! 🥂✨

The absolute best part of the job? Getting to show it to the birthday girl myself. Her reaction was everything, and truly the exact reason why I bake.
