Ok I haven’t posted much if anything in last couple years but I’m gonna start posting a story every week for a year…. I started going through thousands of photographs over the last 30 years and I’ve never done that before.Someone had asked me a question about VR as I was going through these and it hit me how many stories I have to tell, the diversity of the people I have met, and even the crazy jobs and places I’ve had to cook are all pretty entertaining! I’ve cooked for presidents, first ladies, athletes actors, producers, the World Cup committee and hell even an NFL football team for 10 years. But Cowboys and ranchers were my hero’s! I was raised and became a man wile trying to make a living as a cowboy. I am gonna merge this page with my page so that it will be clean! I will also keep everyone posted on the Belleville project opening spring 2023……I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all the support you gave us to let us serve you at HorseShoe Hill.…I am proud of what I’ve left behind in Fort Worth and the people I’ve had influence on over the last 30 years…but it’s time for me to start this new chapter and I’m really excited I don’t advertise I don’t do social media much so it’s your word of mouth I rely on!
But I think south texas is just yelling for chicken fried steak and cabrito….and Fortworth….wow! Fort Worth is in incredibly great shape to carry the western lifestyle forward. I’ve seen it firsthand the last 20 years take shape….Holt Hickman would be proud I believe…. But it’s time for me to move on, start this new chapter! One thing that never changed from the time I was a baby is I adore, I respect, and I live for the cowboy way of life! I had since I was 12 years old. I’m so enamored by it I found a way to stay in it and it was through food… and unlike an athlete aa cook gets better with age, smarter, resourceful, more confident!! For me bellville was love at first sight, I knew after 4 day’s visiting this is where “the circus lands”! we will also be releasing 3 to 4 minute vignettes of my favorite recipes, food ideas etc….being shot every week and you will never know who might stop by! I look forward to telling these stories and hope you will like them too! See y’all in Bellville

I want to first say thank you to everyone who liked this page and gave me a chance to take care of you at my restaurant horseshoe Hill. After taking some much-needed time off and a whole lot of fishing, I found myself hungry for another restaurant. I had multiple choices offered and felt very grateful for that but I really fell in love with the Bellville area and with the Elick family. Im gonna start posting things again but not on HH page. Hey yall, due to unforeseen circumstances, the Sept. 23 private cooking class with Brandon Rhyder this week has been cancelled. We will post more specific updates soon regarding to re-opening of Horseshoe Hill. We apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused. Hey Yall, Horseshoe Hill will be closed this Saturday, 7/31, through next Thursday, 8/5, for a much needed vacation.

Also, due to the filming of Yellowstone 's prequel, "Y:1883", Horseshoe Hill will be closed from September 1st-10th, reopening up on September 11th.

We're looking forward to getting the back patio up and running for some good times and Brandon Rhyder music on Thursday, Sept. 23rd.

Swing on by today and come see us if you've been jonesin' for a Chicken Fried Steak and some cowboy cookin'!

COOKING CLASSES UPDATE:

Thank yall so much for being patient with our announcing of the cooking class schedule, as we have been waiting to make sure it does not interfere with Paramount's filming of Yellowstone prequel, "Y:1883"- which is being shot right here in the Stockyards!

Because of the filming, we have backed up our first private cooking class to THURSDAY, SEPT. 23 with special guest Brandon Rhyder!

Reservations are on first come, first serve basis- we only have 50 spots available and they fill up FAST.
