Instructions
Prep veggies
Dice onion, bell pepper(s), 3 cloves of garlic and 1 jalapeno
Brown ground beef
Drain oil
Add garlic- mix and cook until fragrant
Add Worchester sauce-2 tablespoons-mix
Season with, garlic salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin(go easy, it can over power) and fire roasted garlic powder (made by kinders)- mix
Add bell peppers, onions and jalapeno-mix and cook for 7 minutes
I did add tomato paste and beef base to my meat mixture (if you have it add a tablespoon of both)
While your meat mixture is cooking on stove
Drain kidney and black beans ONLY
Add to crock pot
Add tomato sauce, chili beans and fire roasted diced tomatoes
Once meat mixture is done, add to crock pot
Mix all together, add chili season pack, add beef broth and mix until combined. Taste the juice of chili and season as needed
*I did add brown sugar and cayenne pepper to mine
Let cook in crockpot for 5-6 hours on high before serving
*Some people add a beer to the chili while it’s simmering, I didn’t bc I didn’t have one but I normally do
Once served, slice fresh jalapeño and add to top of chili with sour cream and cheese for garnish. Also can be served with cornbread
