Thank You to all of the Woody’s family that continue to support our local charities thru involvement in Woodys Family Cup. Rich Gee started the golf tournament 25 years ago to help raise funds for cancer awareness and support after my wife Donna was diagnosed with breast cancer. I think it’s appropriate that the tournament is in his honor now! We raised nearly $18,000 for Cancer Care Services with your support! I hope we can make it even bigger next year!

It’s with a heavy heart we have to announce that we lost our dear friend Rich Gee yesterday. Rich was always ready to talk about his Alma mater Permian HS, Notre Dame, Dallas Cowboys, classic cars, BBQ and Golf. So if he didn’t mention his 3 year battle with Colon Cancer, it’s because he didn’t want to be treated differently. He wanted to make people smile, whether it was cracking a joke or with a big plate of BBQ. We have spent the last several months planning a Woody’s restaurant concept and we definitely did not see his health taking a quick turn. That being said, he would tell you all to go ahead and enjoy that pie, pint of ice cream or extra large cinnamon roll. Make sure you are living your life. Adopt the dog, play the round of golf, take the trip that you have every excuse in the world not to. And most of all, enjoy your time with friends and family while you have them Rich was not a fan of funerals, but he did love BBQ, so we will plan a time in a month or so to fire up Rosie and burn some meat… and definitely tell some stories!
It’s been a rough year for the Woody’s family. We lost our location of 25 years and now our much loved Rich! Even so, just dropped off a check for almost $18,000 to Cancer Care Services from our recent Woody’s Family Cup charity golf tournament that Rich was instrumental in starting and helping run for the last 25 years!
Let’s keep Rich’s memory alive and leave our favorite Rich stories or pictures in the comments. Celebrate life everyday, but the BBQ will be fun too!

Thank you to All who have fought for our freedoms that we take for granted daily! On Memorial Day we specifically remember those paid the ultimate sacrifice! June 6th is D Day and we made a point a few years back to visit to pay respects. So many lives lost that day and so many graves with soldiers known only to God. Because of their sacrifice, the N***s were pushed back and was the turning point in WWII! The horrors of the N**i regime are some of the worst atrocities in history. These heroes, some just 18 year old kids, died to help free people from oppression and end the genocide. Thank You
