Dixie House Cafe Lancaster Ave.

Dixie House Cafe Lancaster Ave. Home cooking Dale and Theresa Simon opened their first restaurant in January 1983. I was hesitant at first but soon agreed.

At that time the restaurants name was Theresa’s Cafe named after my wife Theresa. This had been a life long dream of hers, So after our fourth daughter started school, Theresa talked me into helping make her dream come true. Our first place was small, seating only about 30 people. The only staff was Theresa and one other lady, She helped Theresa prepare her delicious made from scratch recipes, including homemade Desserts & Fresh homemade yeast rolls. The same wonderful recipes our customers enjoy in our restaurants today. Five years later we moved to a larger location where we could seat around 200 people. Today we have 5 locations, with over 120 employees. We still have alot of family working for us which makes it possible for us serve our same made from scratch recipes, We still make the same wonderful recipes such as hand battered CHICKEN FRIED STEAK, CHICKEN FRIED CHICKEN, HOMEMADE MEATLOAF, TENDER ROAST BEEF, REAL MASHED POTATOES & MADE FROM SCRATCH DESSERTS. Theresa made these recipes for our customers for years. We are thankful to all our LOYAL CUSTOMERS who have made it possible to see our dreams come true. We look forward to serving you and your families for years to come. Thank you for your business, Your friends Dale and Theresa Simon
