My first Honey Wheat loaf. 😍 Perfect for toast, sandwiches, and all the simple moments in between.

Seeing all the negative buzz lately around our go-to Honey Wheat bread inspired me to add this flavor to my growing list of homemade loaves. There’s just something special about baking your own.

Restaurant Style Buttermilk Biscuits. 👌🏾 The taste, the texture, the fluffiness...everything you want from your favorite breakfast spot. 🥰

These were created with Cultured Buttermilk Blend, and I am impressed with how well this newly developed recipe turned out. They are the perfect breakfast sandwich biscuits. If I open a cake shop (again 🙃), these biscuits will definitely be on the menu!

I made this week, twice! The first was a 10 hour sourdough focaccia made with olive oil, topped with coarse sea salt, and slathered with a nice European-style butter. Very delicious! For the quick 3 hour version I incorporated active dry yeast and it was equally impressive with a texture closer to sandwich bread. With both, the bubbles were beautiful! 😍 My bread will only get better with time and practice.

Now accomplished:

What should I try next?

Yesterday I made Cinnamon Raisin scones. They have a very slight sweetness to the dough with highlights of white chocolate chips in random bites, and they're much denser than biscuits. To my surprise, my kids love them! 😍 My son says they're on the top of the list of food he loves.

I love to bake. 💛 But the outcome of trying something new is not always certain.

Baking has taught me what Scripture makes clear in life: We can plan with care, but outcomes belong to God. (James 4:13–15).

In 2026, move with intention, prayer, and patience— trusting that what’s meant to happen will happen if the Lord wills, not simply because it’s spoken aloud (Lamentations 3:37) or you've forced it into existence.

Good things are worth the wait. 🤍

Walking into this year I'm reminded that I don’t have to have everything figured out. I just have to show up. God meets us fresh every single day. 🕊

But until then, as a Parent Volunteer, I must stay focused on the task of helping Cub Scout Pack 3979 get closer to their $10K goal (or at least help my kids... Bella & Beaux ...reach their individual goals of $1500 each.) So I ask for your help! They are both over the $300 mark. That's a great start!
