Good morning! A Divine Encounter Café will be closed today. Lots of snow coming down. I haven’t had a snow day in quite a while! ❤️❤️. We opened this little Cafe’ in the middle of a world wide pandemic, being obedient to our Heavenly Father’s instruction. Honestly, when we turned that open sign on, we had no idea what the Lord was going to do, or if people would like our food, atmosphere or location. But………Fort Wayne, you and pretty much folks from all around the world have allowed us to serve you, pray with you, laugh with you, cry with you and just do real life with you. We have had 10 or more first time authors do book signings, served food for private parties, Christmas parties, Bible studies, bridal showers, etc. We have had the honor of hiring folks with felonies, coming out of rehab centers, juvenile lock up and many other situations where they may have been rejected. Some have worked 1 hour and some 3 years. We have had so many people volunteer that I lost count and for that we are forever grateful. This little Cafe has become a vessel for the Lord and we wouldn’t be able to do what we do without you!! Our awesome customers!! October 31, 2025 we started the beginning of our 6th year and decided to sign another 2 years at our current location. We are so humbled and proud to continue serving you! Thank you and May the God of all Hope fill you with Joy and Peace as you trust in Him. Do what you love to do, do it afraid if you have to, and keep being Awesome! Betty Shuman and Staff

I cannot say enough about LifeWise taking back the right to teach our children about JESUS. This is a wonderful organization and if you have never heard of LifeWise or have questions please reach out to them. ***VACATION break **

Hello all of our awesome new and existing customers! We pray that you all are excited for Spring time and warmer weather. The Café will be closed this Friday through next Wednesday and will reopen Thursday, April 10th.
