If you’re looking for a European coffee experience in Fort Wayne, check out United Coffee on Jefferson Blvd between Chops and Spyro’s. Their coffee is imported from Rome and is outstanding; as is their customer service and attention to detail. Their waffle dough is imported from Brussels, Belgium and honestly there are no words for them. You just have to try one. Made fresh right in front of you. I prefer the naked waffle with an Italian-style cappuccino; proper coffee to milk ratio🙌 They’re closed on Mondays but open the rest of the week. Check them out, you won’t be disappointed!

Wow! It has been over a week since we closed. I meant to post the day after we closed but obviously that went by the wayside!

Your warm wishes, thoughtful cards, and awesome flowers were so appreciated. Thank you
so much!

I estimated we served 450 drinks our last day. We all agreed we had a fun with the madness of it all!

On Friday ( the 30th) we had our " bunker " sale. We sold coffee items we accumulated over the years. The only piece of equipment I have left is the BUNN coffee grinder! I am so thankful I was able to sell almost everything.

My car ( really me) still wants to turn in to the Lutheran campus! I was to and from there usually more than once a day for so many years.

I miss you all!

We're down to our last two pounds of espresso! Last call at Crazy Sisters Lutheran Hospital location!!

It has indeed been quite a ride the past 14 years. I feel like I have been a part of so many families...watching kids grow up, graduate, get real jobs. I have heard about family vacations, I have met spouses, have heard some ridiculously funny and amazing stories. Shared laughter and tears and everything in between. As much as I listened to you, you listened to me...stories of the desert, travels overseas, Frisbee golf, cycling, European soccer standings.

Thanks for all the warm, funny, and beautiful memories! It will be so weird to not be at the hospital. It has been home for so many years...even when I had to leave due to caffeine allergy, it was still a place that was "Home"...a comfortable and happy place to be....and it's because of all of you!

So this is the last time you will hear me say it, "It's hump day! We started sliding towards the weekend at noon! And tomorrow, "Hey, it's Thursday...POETS EVE!!!"

Peace,
Kyah (aka Marcia...I changed my first name a couple years ago!)

Well, this is it. Our last day is tomorrow! I was so busy today that I have not given it much thought, maybe that is a good thing.

Today I did 5 hours of roasting to get orders caught up, a good thing. Until I got into the flow of it I had two batches of "extra toasty" coffee. That is, I burned it and smoke was floating around the office and wafting out the door. It smelled like a campfire, just the marshmallows were missing.I might brew some of it just to see how burnt it go

Ashley, Pam and I will be there tomorrow to provide you with your drink of choice! So please stop by and get a 16 oz drink on the house. We will serve until noon or until our supply runs out.

My sister will be there from 8 to 8:45. Darlene is going to bring my Mom over about 8 for a visit too.

I am so grateful that Zijad and Joe gave me an opportunity to start my business at Lutheran. I am also thankful for the opportunity to move to a built in location! That certainly made life easier.

I will miss everyone!! I found it interesting that people I had not seen for a period of time resurfaced when I thought about how they were doing.

So I think our paths will cross again, but not as frequently. I will truly miss our daily conversations!

See you tomorrow!

Today the pay it forward movement continued! What a nice unexpected result. Thank you!

It was suggested by MF today to place a sheet of paper on the wall by the espresso machine for customers to share a thought! I will get that in place tomorrow. Thank you for the idea MF.
