Hey Y’all!! …. Excuse us for being so wordy on this post but We have an unfortunate announcement/story that we have to share ….
We are very sad to say that after 6 years of operating The Little Griddle, we are CLOSING!!! This week will be our LAST WEEK! (Starting tomorrow)
We will be open
Thursday-Sunday 9am-2pm
Please come out, show your support and enjoy your Little Griddle favorites while you can.
It’s been a very hard decision to make but we’ve had quite a journey.
We started this dream after our son was born, my husband built our trailer from bones little by little as he could until it was ready … we never planned for this to be a full time endeavor (if we did, we would have built a bigger trailer 😂)
The Pandemic happened and everything changed so we chose to take the chance and chase our dream and we opened our Little Griddle as a stationary location so you can always find us and we have enjoyed meeting so many of you amazing people… we are blessed for our locals that have been there since almost day 1… our regulars that have showed their support over the years, we are so grateful for our vacationers that discovered us and look forward to coming back every year. It still blows my mind that you think of us first and plan your vacations around coming to get your Little Griddle breakfast that you’ve craved all year.
We are so incredibly grateful and blessed for all of your support.
We all know the world has changed since we took the big risk to open up and make The Little Griddle our main source of focus and income for our family in the midst of the pandemic. We started in a parking lot and since then, we moved to a great location with more options for indoor seating and shade in hopes to not be so weather dependent.There were bigger plans for the new property as well.
After 6+ years, life just looks so incredibly different than the beginning of our journey …the economy, the bridge traffic for downtown and our family’s needs.
We started this dream with one small baby and opened full time when he was 3 with a giant leap of faith and .19 cents left in the bank and a loan from an amazing friend for inventory…
We now have 2 children… growing up so quick needing more love and attention and we have to be there to follow through with that because we only get one shot at raising amazing little people.
The Little Griddle has basically been a 3rd child…. An Extremely needy and expensive one at that for 6 years but we have truly loved the adventure and have learned so much.
We have come to the conclusion that it’s time for a change, it’s time to regroup and reevaluate what is most important to our family and ourselves.
We’re going to miss this so very much and we are going to miss our regulars and our newbys and we hope y’all understand….
We don’t plan for this to be the end…. We are taking a step back…. We are going to see what the next path is … thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated through this next journey.
