Miracle Strip Bass Club's annual fall two-day tournament out of Cooters Pond Park on the Alabama River went off without a hitch last weekend. The lack of any significant rain lately translated into little water movement which made for some tough conditions, especially for them big Spotted Bass we love catching while there. Water temp high 60s. Here are the two-day totals:

First - Adam Clift with 9 going 14.64lbs
Second - TJ Vidinha with 10 going 12.88lbs
Third - Shane Lundien with 8 going 12.46lbs
Fourth - Aaron Richardson with 8 going 10.68lbs
Fifth - Chad Phillips with 7 going 10.22lbs
Sixth - Kevin Oleen with 8 going 7.86lbs
Seventh - Bryan Morgan with 2 going 3.08lbs
Eighth - Neal Ransom with 2 going 2.12lbs
There were three zeroes logged and a weekend Big Fish going 6.14lbs caught by our winner Adam Clift.

Our season ending tournament will be held on December 11 at Black Creek Lodge on the lower end of the Choctawhatchee River.

Members of Miracle Strip Bass Club met at Live Oak Landing on the Tensaw River (Mobile Delta) yesterday for this month's tournament. Seven of our members participated in a small fish shoot-out with Bryan Morgan taking top honors. Here are the official results:

1st - Bryan Morgan - 5 @ 9.64lbs
2nd - TJ Vidinha - 5 @ 6.32lbs
3rd - Aaron Richardson - 4 @ 5.84lbs
4th - Shane Lundien - 4 @ 4.24lbs
5th - Adam Clift - 3 @ 3.94lbs
6th - Jumaane Sweatt - 1 @ 1.60lbs
7th - Chad Phillips - 1 @ 1.54lbs

Congratulations to our top finishers. Next month our members head north to Alabama for our fall two-day on the Alabama River out of Cooters Pond at Prattville.

Thought of Mr. Gary Carr today - more specifically one of our fishing trips on Black Creek and another on Lake Seminole. Gary was a long-time member of Miracle Strip Bass Club. Gary left us too soon in November 2020. Those that knew him, will always remember that infectious smile. You always parted ways with Gary feeling better about your day than when you met. July 24 Results for Black Creek/Choctawhatchee River. Sunny and Hot. Air Temps in the low to mid-90s and Water Temps in low 80s. Launch location Black Creek Lodge. Congratulations to a giant amongst men, Vernon Ward, who showed us once again how to beat Aaron out of the back of the boat on his local Bass factory.

Big Bass pot is up to $126 and will be given to the member who puts, at a minimum, a 3.5lb Bass on the scales. September 18 tournament will be at Lake Point A in Andalusia, AL
