Good morning you guys! I know some of our regulars may've been wondering where we've been at. Well due to the heat and some other circumstances we have changed our hours and they can be found on our page. Today because of the actions of a Young Man I will no longer be afraid to share my testimony he uplifting me in a low moment by doing something kind I will explain more tomorrow but here we go this is who I am I am a 34 year old black male who has struggled for a long time let's just start from the beginning as a kid I was looked upon as a great football player and if I could tell any kid growing up today don't depend on Sports education is the key because I depended on sports listening to all the people around me including the newspapers saying things like this kid is great this kid is special and I am but they were talking about sports as a young man in high school all of that recognition for sports went directly to my head when I have coaches newspapers and people around me saying how I'm going to the NFL I begin to believe that November 17th 2001 God decided to bring me down a notch I blew out my ACL MCL and my outside ligament and tore my cartilage in my right knee not concerned about my own health all I can ask the doctor was when can I play football again he responded with these words Joseph you would never play football again if you tear up that knee there is no repairing it only amputation and that moment I went into a funk and stay there for almost 15 years why let me tell you all throughout High School teachers past me because I was good at sports now that I no longer have sports where do I go to embarrass too ashamed to admit I'm graduating high school and can't even read I waddled in self-pity for a long time until I came to Fort Smith Arkansas found out they had an adult education center I begin to take classes and at the age of 29 I could finally say that I can read up to par I sent out to attend at UAFS Lions Athletics for my middle childhood education degree to teach and coach football along this journey I began to have children and withdrew from school but God continues to bless because with no college education I was successfully able to open up my own business and it means the world to me and for that I give God all the glory today I was at a low point wondering to myself and asking God why so much pain why do I have to struggle when I open up it was not for money it was to be a blessing to other people and give them jobs and to inspire people but today this young man inspired me. He thought enough of us to take the time to make us this sign. This is a great kid that can show some of us a thing or two on kindness. Thank you
