We loved having Scout Groups KS 3110 and KS 1199 from Louisburg, KS stop by Common Ground today! 🇺🇸☕️

After putting up and taking down flags at the Fort, they definitely earned a little coffee shop break—and we were so glad to be part of it 😊

There’s just something special about seeing young people willing to serve, work hard, and show up for something bigger than themselves. Y’all made our day!

Thanks for stopping in—we hope to see you again next time you’re in Fort Scott ❤️

Today we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom. Their sacrifice is the reason we get to enjoy simple, beautiful moments like this—coffee with a view, conversations with friends, and the freedom to gather in places we love.

As you spend time with family and friends today, don’t forget the reason behind the day. We are grateful. We remember. ❤️🤍💙

invites the community to help place the annual “Symbols of Sacrifice” Field of Honor on Friday, May 22 beginning at 8 a.m. Individuals, families, and groups are welcome to take part in this moving tradition.

Throughout Memorial Day weekend, May 22–25, the Field of Honor will feature 8,500 U.S. flags honoring members of the U.S. Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to our nation. The display is open daily from ½ hour before sunrise to ½ hour after sunset.

You can try to get rid of us Common Ground people… but it’s not that easy. 😄

Kathie Puterbaugh thought moving all the way to Sinclair, Wyoming might do the trick—but nope. I hopped in the church van, grabbed her two bags of coffee, and here I am! Now I’m staying at the Parco, right where she landed, and we’re back at it doing what we love—serving.

This week, the Fort Scott Nazarene Church mission team showed up in a big way, pouring into the Parco and helping make it even more beautiful. There’s just something special about people coming together, rolling up their sleeves, and doing God’s work wherever He leads.

Different place… same mission… same people. 💛

Happy Birthday to our sweet Allie! 🎉

She always has a smile on her face and brings so much joy everywhere she goes. We are so thankful for her kind heart and bright spirit.

Allie will be working with us at Common Ground this summer, so be sure to stop by, say hi, and let her make your day a little brighter—just like she does ours every day. 💛
