There is something heavy on my heart today. Just this past week, I’ve had multiple friends and neighbors get admitted to the hospital. Every single one of them came home with the exact same thing: zero answers and no clear diagnosis.
To be completely honest, it doesn't surprise me anymore. What does surprise me is how we, as a society, keep expecting a different result from a system that isn't built to find root causes.
Western medicine is designed to treat disease, not cure it. Have you ever really looked at the language they use? Every hospital and doctor's office is "practicing medicine." To me, that means exactly what it sounds like—they are practicing, and you are the experiment.
I watched this firsthand with my own parents. They started going to the hospital for a few issues, and things only got worse from there. It was just more and more medication, a never-ending cycle of managing symptoms, right up until that one last, final trip.
We have to remember a fundamental truth: Your body was designed to heal itself.
Our bodies are absolutely amazing. They know exactly what to do, but they are constantly overwhelmed, overloaded, and running on empty trying to process everything we throw at them.
If you want to heal anything, you have to clear the traffic first. That’s why fasting is always step number one. It stops the constant taxing process of digestion and redirects that vital energy exactly where it belongs: into deep cellular repair, lowering inflammation, and rebooting your immune system.
It’s time to stop being a guinea pig and start trusting the brilliant design of your own body. You have the power within you. 🌿

Happy Heavenly Birthday to the kindest man I ever knew, a true embodiment of compassion and empathy. I am still in awe that it has been a year since his passing, a mere three days before his 66th birthday. My dad taught me the invaluable lesson of walking in others' shoes before judging or reacting, a principle he lived by every day. Never once did I hear my dad raise his voice, complain, or utter a disparaging word, despite facing numerous challenges that would have tested the resolve of even the strongest individuals. He was a shining example of kindness, respect, and selflessness, always putting others before himself. His unwavering optimism, gentle spirit, and remarkable work ethic inspired everyone around him. Today, I will honor his memory by enjoying his favorite music while savoring a Corona 🍺 , creating a lasting timestamp of this special day. Let us all cherish our parents, if we are fortunate enough to still have them in our lives, and make every moment count.🙏

The U.S. healthcare model relies heavily on pharmaceutical intervention, making it the most financially medicated population globally. Americans spend an average of $1,491 annually on pharmaceuticals, compared to $777 in areas like France. A newborn in U.S. can expect to spend roughly half of their life taking prescription drugs. More than 60% of American adults take at least one prescription daily. Despite devoting almost 20% of its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to health care—nearly double the average—the U.S. routinely ranks at the bottom of high-income nations for actual heath status.

It is obvious that America’s poor health status is not driven by a lack of medicine, but by systemic, behavioral and structural factors. The U.S. under-invests in social safety nets, upfront nutrition, and preventative public health, spending heavily on treating advanced chronic illnesses rather than preventing them. The typical U.S. lifestyle and the Standard American Diet also play a huge factor as unhealthy foods and sedentary behaviors drive up the baseline need for medications like statins and antihypertensives.
