About Chef Joe Cooks ( aka The CODFATHER )I am a native of Rhode Island, growing up in the town of Tiverton. Restaurants like Evelyn’s Drive in Seafood Restaurant ( in Tiverton ) and Flo’s Clam Shack ( next town of Portsmouth, RI ) were always summertime favorites. Our family would pack in the car and drive to these waterfront diners. You would get out of your car and order your meals through a take out window. Then you could go back to your car or an outdoor picnic table, and wait until they called your number over a loud speaker letting you know that your food was ready. After dressing your food with the appropriate condiments you would retreat to the confines of your vehicle or picnic table to enjoy the fresh, sweet fruits of the local shores. As delicious as the food was , it was the family time spent, that stays most in my memory. These flavors and memories are what I want to bring to my New England replants here in Fort Myers. My very first job was a fry cook at the age of 16, preparing fried clams and fish n chips. I have cooked in fine dining restaurants in both Providence RI and Boston MA. I’ve owned my own personal chef and catering business for the past 12 years here in Fort Myers. And now, my goal is to bring my love of cooking, together with the flavors of New England, to Florida’s Gulf Coast. I hope you enjoy the experience. Sincerely, Joseph Faria

Today marks 2 years since we took over Cape Cod Fish Co., and it’s honestly hard to put into words how grateful we are.

From day one, so many of you welcomed us with open arms, supported us, came back again and again, brought your families and friends, shared kind words, left amazing reviews, and helped turn this restaurant into something truly special.
