Daniel P. Kearns has over 30 years experience in the hospitality and real estate businesses. He is originally from Connecticut where he owned and operated many successful restaurants and now World Famous nightclub venues. Mr Kearns moved to Fort Lauderdale in the mid 90's and has either owned, operated or consulted for the following: Christopher's Nightclub, September's Nightclub, Velvet Lounge, Club Atlantis, Beach Bums Bar & Grill, Art Bar, Coyote Ugly, Automatic Slim's, East Coast Burrito Factory, Fish 54, Archie's Gourmet Pizza, Prezzo Martini Bar & Grill, Ivy Restaurant & Stylebar, Broadway Bar, Wolfie's Famous Deli, and Rush Street Bar. While owning and operating numerous successful restaurants on the East Coast of Florida, Daniel made a trip to the west of Florida, specifically to Fort Myers, to look at a then defunct Country Club that supposedly had huge potential. Upon his arrival Daniel in fact saw this potential and seized the opportunity to take over the historic Fort Myers Country Club. After seeing the rich history of Fort Myers' famous past residents, Thomas Edison & Henry Ford, Daniel decided to call the Fort Myers Country Club "The Edison". Immediately the town of Fort Myers received The Edison with open arms and it was a celebrated restaurant/bar & banquet center for over 5 years. After selling the Edison Daniel, along with partners Michael McGuigan and his son Zak Kearns, decided to make the first move to downtown Fort Myers where they created and opened Ford's Garage specializing in Prime Burgers & Craft Beer. Fast forward 6 years...there are now 7 Ford's Garage locations. Daniel along with his talented partnership team have created and opened: The Firestone Wood Fired Grille, Martini Bar & SkyBar, Los Cabos Cantina, The Boathouse Tiki Bar & Grill, Izzy's Fish & Oyster, Downtown Social House, and Capone's Coal Fired Pizza concepts. As President of Kearns Restaurant Group, Daniel oversees daily operations of all restaurants and bars which employs over 600 people. Zak Kearns is the co-founder and Vice President of Kearns Restaurant Group, a leading restaurant and nightclub firm based in Ft. Myers, Florida. Kearns experience and vast knowledge of the restaurant and nightclub industry began at an earlier age working for his father Daniel P. Kearns at his world renowned restaurants and nightclubs all over the country. While closely working beside his father for many years he quickly gained the knowledge and respect of industry veterans. He is known throughout the industry as the "go to guy" for popular hospitality property acquisitions and complete design buildouts throughout the state of Florida. He currently is a parner in Ford's Garage, The Firestone - Grill Room. Martini Bar . SkyBar, Capones Coal Fired Pizza, The Boathouse Tiki bar & Grill, The Lodge, Izzy's Fish & Oyster Fort Myers, The Downtown Social House, and Los Cabos Cantina. His passion is business and plans on keeping his feet in it for a while....
