Today is a significant day for PierSide Grill, as we officially opened our doors 26 years ago. This throwback photo reminds us of how proud we are to be a staple of the Fort Myers Beach community for so many years and a part of some of your favorite memories. Although our 26th anniversary occurs at a time we don’t have a physical restaurant to raise our glass, the heart of PierSide Grill remains because of the people—our incredible customers and our amazing staff. The people of PierSide are the reason we’ve made it to this significant milestone. Thank you for your loyalty, your words of encouragement, and for a shared hope for a bright future for all in our community.

In celebration of our 26th year, we welcome you to share where you’re from and a photo of your favorite memory.

UPDATE: Sadly, our beloved restaurant PierSide Grill & Famous Blowfish Bar was completely lost during the storm.

We are grateful for the outpouring of support, and we remain focused on helping our employees, neighbors and community as we get through this difficult time. We are assessing next steps for rebuilding the restaurant, yet we know it will likely be a long process.

If you’d like to support our staff, who are working to get back on their feet and facing unemployment while we rebuild, please consider contributing to our employee fundraiser.

If you have a gift card to our restaurant, please hold on to it and join us for a meal once we reopen or let us know if you’d like to donate the value to our staff for recovery. Unfortunately, our computer system was lost in the storm, so we are unable to provide refunds at this time until a new system is in place.

We thank you for your continued loyalty to PierSide Grill over the past 25 years. Our team looks forward to serving you once again.

Our hearts are devastated by the loss of so many lives, homes, and businesses in our community and here on Fort Myers Beach. We lost our beloved PierSide Grill & Famous Blowfish Bar to Hurricane Ian, and we are currently assessing the damage to our sister restaurant Matanzas on the Bay.

Right now, our focus is on helping our employees, neighbors, and community as we get through this difficult time with basic needs and resources.

We are grateful for the outpouring of support from the entire Southwest Florida community and beyond.
