Alright, friends, patrons, followers, foodies, and the rest of you, here's the announcement I've been putting off making:

FK That's Good was an idea created between myself (Claire) and Erin from Aroostook Beef Company. Our goal was to serve local beef in a fast food way to share with you all the importance of knowing what you're eating. The first summer was a lot of trial and error but we got into a good cadence/ rhythm in knowing what we have to offer and what you all wanted to eat (all the Philly poutine & all the brisket).

Two summers in a row, we spent our time traveling and feeding, two things we love to do.

With that said, it's time we let you all know that we won't be returning in the summer of 2024. The trailer is for sale/ lease and I would be willing to work with anyone who wants to keep some of the same foods going. I'll share recipes and hacks, heck, I might even work for you ;) A poutine truck would SLAY.

In the interim, I am going solo and doing the personal chef thing. Find me & follow me at Claire Caters. I have some openings if you want a private chef for your family/ business holiday party but these are booking QUICKLY. I'm doing sushi platters, taco bars, mac & cheese bars, family meals, meal prep, and parties.

Thanks, FK and the rest of you, for all of the love, support, trial and error, feedback, and most of all, for your love of food. Without you all, our little experiment would have ended much sooner.

Alright, a few updates on the fundraiser for Recovery in the Valley.

First- we have a date change as there is a fundraiser at Pell Motors for the Wisdom Soccer Team that was moved to our previous planned day. We will have our yard sale going from 12-6 on Sunday October 8th. If you have items you want to donate, please message Claire Nichols on her personal account.

Second- this isn't a change as much as an all call. We are seeking volunteers to do a couple of things. We need volunteers the week before the event to sort through the donated goods. We also need volunteers on that day to run the yard sale. We need volunteers to go to local businesses for donations/ raffle items.

Third- We decided to add a raffle that will run two weeks BEFORE the event. We are seeking businesses to donate gift certificates/ products in order to support this cause. A healthy community means a stronger business system.

Fourth- We will have the food truck open to sell our typical fair, but we will also have a few freezer meals available for families at a low cost to take home and store away for a rainy/ snowy day. These meals will be made by donated beef from Aroostook Beef Company. Without the generosity of this business, we wouldn't be able to do what we are doing. So, even if you don't want more "stuff", you can come and support the cause by stocking up your freezer.

Fifth- we will have some speakers and we will be discussing addiction. If you have young kids, please come out and understand what resources are available. We must have these conversations if we are going to work together to save our youth.

That's it for now! Please reach out if you can/ want to volunteer or if you have donations.

EDIT: We are at Community High School tomorrow!!

As long as the walk is still on tomorrow, we are still on!

In looking at the weather, we’ve decided to be open from 10:30a - 12:30p at The Lions Pavilion at COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL in FK.

Our menu will be posted in the morning, but expect pulled pork, breakfast foods, and OF COURSE poutines!

We will donate 10% of all sales to the cause.
