📣 A heartfelt thank you from Oaked Coffee Co. ☕️

After four incredible years, I’m announcing the temporary suspension of Oaked Coffee Company. What started as a small passion project grew into something much bigger—shipping to nearly every state and hearing from so many of you about how much you loved our aged, barrel-infused coffee.

This journey has been full of gratitude, inspiration, and support from a community I’ll never forget.

Due to rising tariffs and an unpredictable commodity market, we’re hitting pause for now. But this isn’t goodbye forever—just a break. I hope to bring Oaked back better than ever with a little luck and the right timing.

As the approaching election in November draws near, I've noticed a significant increase in negative and biased posts on social media from friends with varying political views. While it's expected for people to share their opinions, I believe that engaging in real-life discussions rather than online debates can help promote more meaningful and constructive dialogue.

Social media algorithms and friend groups tend to reinforce our existing beliefs, making it challenging to have open-minded conversations. I've observed that the posts on platforms like Facebook often encourage biased confirmation rather than critical public discourse, which hinders the potential for balanced and respectful debate.

I encourage individuals involved in politics to take their discussions offline and meet in person to have coffee with those who hold different opinions. A face-to-face meeting presents an opportunity to actively listen and understand the reasoning behind varying perspectives. It also allows for a more thoughtful and calculated response, as well as a natural conclusion to the conversation once the coffee is finished.

Engaging in these coffee meetings can lead to more nuanced and respectful conversations, providing a positive start to the day and fostering a better understanding of our community and society. In summary, I believe that real-life discussions over a cup of coffee hold more promise for constructive dialogue than engaging in unproductive online debates.
