With an emphasis on garden-fresh produce and utilizing as many local products as possible, Rhody's Garden Café, located on-premises at Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, is a wonderful place to enjoy lunch or coffee and dessert. Rhody's menu features daily seasonal house-made soups, organic salads with greens picked fresh from our own organic Vegetable Garden and served with house-made dressings, delicious desserts, and Cowlick's Ice Cream. Drinks include Thanksgiving Coffee (hot, cold, or blended), hot or cold chai tea, other teas, fresh strawberry lemonade, and iced tea. Bring your favorite canine! They'll enjoy a dog-sized scoop of vanilla ice cream with your minimum purchase (upon request). Gluten-free and vegan options are available.

🧀 Charcuterie Plates — featuring an assortment of gourmet meats and cheeses from Roundman’s Smokehouse.

🥬 Fresh from the Gardens to your plate 🥬
There is nothing quite like fresh-picked greens. Every week, our Horticulture Staff and dedicated Volunteers harvest mixed greens and spinach from Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens’ five-acre organic demonstration Vegetable Garden, bringing the freshest flavors of the season straight to your lunch plate at Rhody’s Garden Café.

Our Vegetable Garden is more than a source of delicious ingredients. It is a living classroom where visitors can explore sustainable growing practices, edible and medicinal plants, healthy soil, composting, and natural pest management—all working together to produce beautiful, nutritious food without pesticides or herbicides.

The garden also gives back to our community through the Giving Garden Program, which has donated more than 74,000 pounds of fresh organic produce to the Fort Bragg Food Bank over the past 11 years. And those beautiful edible flowers that brighten so many of your favorite dishes at Rhody’s? They are grown right here, too.

Stop by Rhody’s Garden Café this season and taste the difference that truly fresh, garden-grown ingredients make. Best of all, no Garden admission is required to enjoy lunch at the Café! 🥬🌼🍽️
